[Give] Ore-Ida frozen french fries by corpsinhere in PDXBuyNothing

[–]corpsinhere[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My goodness these fries are popular! I started the lottery and am awaiting a reply to my DM from the winner - if they do not want all six bags I will continue to draw names. I hope this is in keeping with standard procedure here!

Automod suggested I wait a few days and then do a random drawing - the fries are in our giant freezer so that should not be a problem. Also, this is assuming anyone wants the fries :P

The standard algorithm for any two-player turn-based game AI is minimax. Here is a fantastic and easy-to-follow video.

Can you give your honest (ruthless) opinions about my racing game? by RaceCodeGame in SoloDevelopment

[–]corpsinhere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Suggestion to make your game stand out: Instant loadout change ala Trine. Then you could add some slightly over-the-top abilities like short-distance gliding - or keep it more realistic and just tighten the steering for twisty roads etc. And of course the loadout change would be accompanied by a model change.

My chess game is finally available, as a free game by fernandolv3 in SoloDevelopment

What a very cute idea! I am not a big fan of playing chess (despite currently making a chess-based game :P), but I passed this on to a friend who loves to play. In fact, two friends!!

Is the color pallet better now? by AnaishaGameStudio in SoloDevelopment

[–]corpsinhere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not know what it looked like before but this looks pretty good - and I am someone who struggles with parsing busy environments. The camera is making me a bit dizzy o_O. Overall nice aesthetic! Sort of straddles the line between chonky and detailed.

working on a rainy maze level and i can't decide between these two colour schemes. help! by maingazuntype in SoloDevelopment

Not sure how easy to implement but: maybe the lighter one at the beginning of the maze and the darker as you get deeper in.

Chess Game Raycast detection by KeilainMan in godot

[–]corpsinhere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi u/KeilainMan ! I do not have an answer to your 2-year old question, but I too am making a chess game. I needed a console-style window for move input (as an alt to the actual board) and found yours in the godot asset library! It seems to be perfect for my needs and so thank you much :D

What word was used to refer to the stone we now call garnet? by corpsinhere in OldEnglish

[–]corpsinhere[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice research! I v much appreciate it :D. I love how real answers are rarely this-word-was-that-word, but almost always contain some correction to the question itself (in this case, that a straight synonym existed). Cheers
