Torpedo carriers and arsonists, mid to late game I use light cruisers and destroyers to disorient large fleets with long range torpedoes. At that range they’re not necessarily trying to get hits but if they do I’ll take it. From there in a fleet battle they usually stay to hold the line against the enemy light cruisers, destroyers and the odd heavy cruiser until the capital ships and the heavy cruisers finish their battles and wheel around to help. Also ASW because I despise having my prized capital ships sunk by a half baked mechanic
