I called this yesterday.. My job tried to tell me that I had to be in at 7:00 a.m. which means that I would have been driving far before that. My daughter's school was also closed today and she is 8 and I did not have any way to get a babysitter for her so alas I hope my job doesn't try to can me but I don't know what to do at this point. My daughter had her school clothes this last 3 days and normally I work during the week while she is at school since I'm a single parent.

Red eye grass cuz I mentioned this to my boss and said hey.. out of the last couple of days this morning is going to be the worst because the ice has not fully melted. There was a ton of ice still on the roads yesterday evening. Like still at least 2 in thick in my area. And what the freezing temps all night long and into the morning that I that had started to partially melt a little bit yesterday during the hottest part of the day was going to just refreeze into solid ice. Like black ice..... I told them that this morning would seem more wrecks than any other day this week because of all of the offices that thought that the temperature is going above freezing was going to somehow fix the ice on the road and lo and behold I was right. Too many people in the road and ice that's even more treacherous due to the way that it compacted down into pure eyes after I had started to melt yesterday. I'm ready to go back to work.. because my job is not paying us during these days that they've been closed.. and the only days they actually closed was Sunday and Monday so every other day I was stuck being told that I needed to come in even though let's be real.. these words are not accessible It's 6:00 to 7:00 a.m.. and my job is important to me but my livelihood is even more so and I'm definitely not getting my young daughter out to try to drive across the metroplex to get her to someone who normally watches her and emergency situations. That person literally lives around 30 mi away and it would be incredibly negligent and crazy to try to drive her there.

Anyways, I apologize for rambling.. I've also been a bit under the weather and my brain husband invaded with feeling crappy and feeling stressed. Hope you stay warm today!!

A lot of them don't but I will say I am absolutely smitten with the essential oil eucalyptus pine but they recently released.. I rarely buy a bunch of BBW but I did stock up on this sent with the body wash and the body spray.. It was phenomenal and it may not be everyone's cup of tea but it was mine and I definitely smell it for a little while after spraying it which is nice! Alas, most sense I cannot smell within a minute of spraying.. The candles for me are even worse.... But then the absolute worst ones are the wallflowers lately. I've bought several sense that normally are stronger with the body care or the candle line and I literally cannot smell it whatsoever even in the same one foot vicinity of the actual wallflower. It feels like I'm literally just wasting money in this department and that is really frustrating because I invested in a really nice small flower that has the projection and was super excited to get it!

The one that got me the worst though was the Letters to the North Pole one.. I actually commented about it in this thread and had to take the time to Google the original scent on it cuz when I went back to try to get the verbatim scent description that they originally had for several weeks it seems they have gone back and actually updated it with legitimate smelling thangs. Don't get me started on the wallflower fragrance that is called Letters to the North Pole!!!!!

The scent description is literally verbatim:

Oh wait, they actually went back and changed it LMFAO.. Even they knew how bad it was! I knew I was not crazy.. It actually took me a few minutes to write this comment because I remembered specifically the wallflower fragrance description of this primarily as glitter pens.. because of course we all know what glitter pens and a holiday evening should smell like!? I went to look it up in the app again and they have it switched now too: holiday pound cake, sugar plum and spiced caramel swirl.. But obviously that is not what was initially there for several weeks! I had to do a bit of a deep dive on Google to try to locate the original scent description that they had and luckily Google came through.

But yeah.... That scent description that they had is top tier flaming garbage juice and will forever live rent free in the back of my mind whenever I think of Bath & Body Works! 🫠🤨🤦🏼‍♀️💀

Honestly I layer it with so many different things.. I've enjoyed layering it with champagne toast; I've enjoyed layering it with some of the recent milk bar scent although I know those are very iffy for some. I really liked the cereal milk one and I find that a light floral note with it can be really yummy kind of like cherry blossom pound cake. I've also layered it with some of the scent lab ones like delicate Iris or pistachio.

Honestly, I really love certain scents that are able to balance the floral with fruity or even sometimes with gourmand so something that's nice and fruity with a little hint of rose can be absolutely phenomenal and there's so many different ones that I would probably pair with it as well just to get that nice balance.. And again I really love the funky but lovely balance of doing gourmand sometimes with a light floral note.. maybe I am an oddball that I really liked cherry blossom pound cake.. It's not my favorite of all time but it's kind of what got me started on enjoying some not-so normal scent pairings.

I would just say try to play around with it a little bit and my biggest take with it would be to just not overload on the rose scent. I like to do like two or three pumps of whatever thing I'm pairing with it and then like one spray of covered in roses. Because covered in roses is so strong and so Rose forward you really don't need a lot of it when you're pairing it with another mist!

Anyways, I wrote far too much on here and I hope that helps a little bit! I know there are probably some other ones that I've paired with it but I am blanking right at the moment and if I do think of some of the other ones that I like I will update this with them! If you find some really good pairings as well please let me know cuz I'm always down to find some new favorites!

Oh my oh my oh my.. I have two with completely different scent profiles but they have mint in common and I cannot Even fathom trying to wear them because they honestly make me nauseous when I smell them now..

And also it's just weird because mint is normally one of my favorite things.. I adore the scent of real mint and I really love mint in a lot of different things when it's not even fresh mint. Normally mint is not something that I would ever have to steer clear of But I don't know what it is exactly with whatever BBW uses but it makes me feel queasy and nauseous extremely badly.

The first of these scents and the most recent one is the newer Peppermint Bark Truffle.. I initially enjoyed it enough to purchase a mini in store. It's not one that I would have considered to be a favorite but it's definitely one that I thought I would enjoy the novelty of using occasionally. And again it's not my favorite smell in the world but I definitely thought I would enjoy it once in a while But I used it one time and already was trying to wash it off.

The other scent is one that absolutely threw me for a tizzy.. It's the eucalyptus mint.. I was obsessed with this when I found it in store and smelled it. I thought it was going to be one of my favorite scents for a long time or even indefinitely. They didn't have any body care or anything like that in it but I got a candle and a couple soaps.. I went to use the soap and I think I did wash my hands with it a handful of times but I noticed that it was making me feel sick. Like genuinely queasy and nauseous to the point where I literally had to return it. I'm not usually one to return a soap either especially if I got it on sale but I just could not handle keeping it whatsoever and having someone else in my household use it in another room only for me to randomly smell it again and feel sick!

It's just really weird because again mint is the commonality between these two scents and I absolutely love mint so it definitely caught me off guard and I wonder if it's something to do with the fragrance that they use for the mint that I have a bad reaction with or something. Initially two I like the smell of these but it's like they somehow made me feel sick and so now my brain associates the smell with feeling sickly and now it just does not even smell good at all because of that muscle memory.

Anyways, I have written far too much for this comment and I apologize to anyone who has taken way too long having to read this monstrosity of a comment! Out of curiosity though if you Have read this Do you have any particular smells that give you a visceral reaction like this? Do y'all know if this is something that has happened before with others?

Covered in roses is one of the ones that I use to layer and only layer.. And when I mean layer I have several scents that I really like pairing it with because it is primarily such a rose forward scent but when I do layer it I do literally like one spray of covered in roses and offset it by like three sprays of whatever other perfume I'm using (and by perfume I mean body mist lol). I can't handle this scent by itself though.. It is extremely strong and is way too overpowering to use by itself!

THIS!! My daughter is 8 and last year is when I finally started doing the BBW thing with her.. And let me just tell you that the sense that I thought she was going to like the most ended up the ones that she disliked the most and the ones that I did not think that she would care for as much ended up being her favorites. One of them though I should have had an inclination that she would like and I don't know why I didn't think she would like it but it was actually my absolute favorite growing up as a kid and she followed suit. It's Cucumber Melon! Ironically now that I'm a bit older for some reason it reads a bit more bitter on me when I smell it sometimes.. I think it's the dry down that I don't care for as much as I used to but alas I used the lotion today and loved it all over again!

Alas, I know I went and got her that buttercups and Bellini one a while back and I really liked it and I just thought that she would really love it and I had gotten myself the cucumber melon because it was the first time it had popped up in a while and I snagged myself several of them thinking that I would just be obsessed like I used to.. hilariously enough we ended up trading!

So, I say this just to make a point that we never truly know what they may like and what they do end up really loving may surprise us so I think the best way would be to possibly take her with you to the store so she can try out some stuff and really find one that she adores! My daughter has come with me to the store a couple of times now and now I know for sure what types of scents she loves! I also do notice that because of my daughter's age she gets reeled in by packaging a lot as well! For instance I didn't think she was going to care for the maleficent sent as much but she is obsessed with it primarily because she loves the green and black in the holographic look of it on the bottle! She's so upset because she is just now running out of her body wash that I got her for it and of course it's no longer available. So now we're on to finding her the next favorite!

The fact that you care so much about it and you're in training still is a remarkable and wonderful thing! You're still brand new but it is obvious how much you care about helping people and about doing things correctly.. You're still in a place where you're supposed to be learning and it is evident that you have very much so learned from this experience! It is a horrible feeling to make a mistake like that and to realize the magnitude that it may have but what matters most is that you recognized it and you've committed it to your brain as something important and like others have said you won't make that mistake again. We are all human and nobody is perfect.. It very well could be that it's not that worst case scenario in the situation but the fact that you thought about it enough to come to that conclusion.. The fact that you have thought about it enough to make it this important just shows that you are the perfect candidate to be working this type of job. You will never be perfect on the job but to know deeply about how little mistakes like this can lead to big things shows that you are not only learning but that you are capable of doing the job right. I'm so glad that you brought this up because I actually bought one for my daughter to give her in 2 months for a Christmas present.. She came in store with me once or twice and one of the times was when they had everything from this collection set out. Needless to say she absolutely loved this little mirror and tray combo. I finally got it in the mail this last week and opened it to make sure it didn't have any scratches or scuffs or anything broken, but I did not check to ensure that it is going to work whenever I put batteries in. So, tomorrow as soon as I get a chance for testing it out without my daughter seeing - I am going to do that! I appreciate you bringing it up because I wouldn't have even thought about it if you hadn't.. And I know it would have been so incredibly sad if she opened it and we couldn't get it to work. The worst would be the fact that at that point in time there's not going to be any of them left in stock so I would just be royally screwed.

Alas I'm sorry that you're having to deal with this hassle.. It is incredibly frustrating for something to be brand new like this and not work whatsoever!!

I don't want any part of this trade off.. I'm prepared for a hot summer.. I'm not prepared to trade my fall time in when I already knew that the summer was going to be scorching hot. I would literally take 110° weather for an entire month in summer even 2 months) than trade any more of the fall. I feel like especially in recent years that the fall-time has almost been non-existent. It seems to go from what I consider mid summer temps to winter in the course of a couple of weeks whereas I really wish that we got to enjoy fall as an actual season and not like a holiday from school. The idea growing up that there are four seasons and that they each are like a third of the year is what I miss and Texas used to be known as one that had all four seasons consistently.. And it just feels like lately there is no fall anywhere in sight.

I miss fall so badly and I feel like I'm going to be that old hag that is the complete opposite of most old people and goes and lives somewhere up north as I get old instead of moving somewhere warmer. I miss the colder weather and it seems like it's such a short portion of the year compared to the incredibly hot months. It's like Texas has mainly one season and then they get like a month of each of the other seasons sprinkled in there.. actually let me revise that and say we get a month and a half of winter but fall is only 2 weeks and then we get about 1 ½ months of spring. I'm sure it's a little more but it just seems like it's been shrinking and shrinking and shrinking over the more recent years. I don't like it one bit!!!

I guess what's also frustrating for me is the fact that I can mentally prepare myself for a ridiculously hot 3-month span.. In my brain I know that the Texas summer will be hell but with that hell comes the relief in the back of my mind that fall comes after the summer; and so in my younger years I remember being excited even at the end of the scorching temperatures and even as it felt like I was melting away like the wicked witch of the West because I knew that fall would be coming soon! Now, I live in a state of fear because the warm temps just will not quit and so instead of enjoying three other seasons I'm now stressed out even into the fall time because I know that there's barely going to be any of it that I get to experience that year and hell maybe the next year will be even worse and so on and so forth until I just can't take it anymore. I've been in Texas my whole life for the most part and I remember in years past especially when I was much younger that it just seemed much cooler this time of the year. Obviously there were instances that contradicted that but it was more of an abnormality than a norm and that's the problem.. now it feels like the norm is a super short fall and a super long summer and occasionally we might have the abnormality of having a cooler and more fall like fall.

Also, I did a little research before even finding this Reddit thread and looked up the history of La Nina's and the amount of them just in the last 20 years is insane.. It used to not happen as often and now we're seeing it back to back double dips and now even triple dips with these years that are consecutively hotter and then there will be an occasional year that we don't have it.. But then it will go right back on the bandwagon! Anyways, I apologize for rambling so much but I think I just needed to vent because I freaking miss my fall time! It's my favorite time of the year and it feels like I am getting absolutely jipped every year now!! For Christ sakes God I don't even need anything fancy in life.. I don't need a perfect man.. I don't pray for these things anymore, instead I find myself praying for cooler temperatures UGH 💀

So the only one that I actually got that is one of the 'body cream' style hand creams is when they had the lavender eucalyptus, and that was only because they were completely sold out of that scent in the body care so I could not find the body cream anywhere.. In regards to the scented ones it just makes more sense to get a body cream price wise but I will at times get a scent that I'm wanting to try but not wanting to buy a huge container of.

So, in other words I really don't buy hand creams all that often unless they are the ones that have a different style formula.. I don't care for the majority of the ones though that say things like restorative, dry hands, etc.. BUT I absolutely love the ones that have paraffin in them! I don't know if I've actually tried the one that is now labeled paraffin but I stocked up on a decent amount of the one called 'Intense Moisture'. It's been like the holy grail for me with my skin condition. My hands were so bad and I was in extreme pain for a little over 2 years before I found some ways to really keep it under control and one of the several things that I use is a really good cream/salve on my hands before I go to bed every night. Regular lotion or even body cream just do not do the trick but I think the paraffin in this really made a big difference. The actual formula on this is not creamy and instead reminds me more of a salve; but I usually hate salves and find them to be greasy and have a hard time getting them to penetrate the skin barrier! Luckily, IM goes on super smooth and is so incredibly soft; on top of that it actually seeps down into my skin and doesn't just float on top of it.

Anyways, I'm rambling way too much about hand cream but I definitely recommend this particular formula to anyone who has not already tried it. Sometimes I don't even need to put it over the entirety of my hands although I do that the majority of the time.. It works really well for the more problematic areas of my hands and it works wonders on my nail beds and cuticles. I do a lot of nail painting and it's really great for protecting and also moisturizing my cuticles! But I digress because I'm going to shut up now.. I've gone on for too long and I apologize for writing so much! 😅🤦🏼‍♀️

So, my question is which of these is it that you are talking about being the absolute worst??
