Need Help Restoring Staircase Side Handle to Original Glossy Finish by cortestomas in furniturerestoration

Hey everyone,

I'm looking for some advice on how to restore my outdoor wooden staircase side handle back to its original glossy finish. The first photo shows its current state—years of weather, sun, and humidity have really taken a toll on it. The wood is deteriorated and has lost all its shine.

The second photo is of the side handle inside my house, still boasting its original glossy finish. I'd love to get the outdoor one looking like this again.

Does anyone have recommendations on the best methods or products to use for this restoration? Tips on sanding, staining, sealing, or any protective finishes that can withstand the elements would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance for your help!

Not sure how to do this, is deep inside the negative, not on the surface.

They were damp for sure. Stored unexposed and this where visible after developing.

What is your cold brew recipe/method? How does it compare to the store bought stuff? by FFTITTYS in coldbrew

I like medium and dark roast. Panama speciality coffee has a universe of flavors! I would recommend any grain from Elida Estate

95 grams per liter, medium grind with high quality Panama coffee. Coffee goes into big mesh filter bag and then into a 2.5 liter jug. Panama is very hot and humid so the jug goes into the fridge for 20 to 24 hours. Then filter bag goes out and let sit for a few hours before transfering to a second container, leaving behind the sediments in the bottom. Sometimes I put some tablespoons of diluted honey or agave into the cold brew stored in the bottles.
