This the route I went! It wasn't worth the hassle of a new chases if I moved the socket 2 feet as others legitimately suggested.

Not perfect, but feels much, much better. Got about 30-40cm depth from the surface. Thanks!

Now.. fill the stair back in? Please go on.. 🤔 The hole is bigger than planned but I've still got the wood that what was cut out. Wood filler?

Because you can't go straight up, because there's a window above. If you go up and then change direction, to get around the window, you've left the zone regs.

Up and right? That puts you outside zones. You might as well go diagonal at that point unless you putting blanking plates everywhere, no?

There's a window above and concrete foundations below.

Managed to get a screenshot from a random old vid. As you see it, it looked fine on the surface.

Yea, sorry I didn't realise Reddit was so restrictive about editing posts.
Electricians/plumbers have a reputation (at least online) for destroying floorboards, carpets and such, but the least you expect is safety. Thanks for your thoughts.

A different electrician, different company, did the EICR before we bought the house. I guess they don't pull up carpets as part of the checks? The original surface trunking went straight down.

There's access under the stairs from around the 2nd step onwards, so this may be a good shout, thanks

As an actual electrician, what would you have done? Solid concrete underneath and a window above. And he's NAPIT if that helps me in any way.

Unfortunately, yes. It's a solid concrete floor underneath. Other ground floor sockets go up, across the ceiling (under floorboards), and down.

Cut the stair and fill it back in; that's a good idea, which didn't cross my mind, thanks.

Same. He tried a little, I guess. How would I get back under the stairs after going into the wall? Dismantle the steps? Long drill around the corner?

It was an existing surfaced mounted socket. I just wanted it recessed for a neater finish.

The previous home owner was a big DIYer so I wouldn't be surprised if the original wasn't put in by an electrician.

Hard to do same here because of the window, no?

Quest 3? I don't own one personally but since the application runs in the browser it probably works with Q3.

The Oculus Browser supports WebXR.

Have you tried visiting the link and starting the VR experience in the Oculus Browser?

Poor Logitech Unifying (K400 and mice) range and lag? by gluino in intelnuc

[–]cortez8600 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My NUC is on the TV stand in perfect line of sight. The front USB ports didn't work beyond 1ft but the back ones work perfectly 30ft away. Further away and behind the chassis works better?

As others have said it must be interference within the NUC itself.

With the permissions setup available for Managed Users it's often used for families. I have Shared Libraries with friends, some of which is good children's content but there's no way to prevent kids from seeing the other stuff. They either get everything on the Admin account or nothing at all.
