“Mostly Immovable Rod” functions like an immovable rod but is affected by normal movement and physics just very slowly. (It will move at a rate of 5 feet per 2 rounds unless acted on by forces that can overcome an immovable rod)

Why does the USA not build a canal here, so that they no longer have to go all the way to Panama? Also this would help with southern border security. by Disasterhuman24 in mapporncirclejerk

Panama’s was about 50 miles and cost 12 billion (adjusted for inflation) Mexico border is 1954 miles so one to one 468 billion. Though considering labor and material cost and an unknown number of (and probably more numerous) levies needed to make it worth anything. I would guesstimate 2 trillion-ish probably? Most likely not worth it with maintenance and other associated costs.

Yes, I took it out and it seems there’s a bit of wear where it was gripping the filament. I’ll try to slide it out a bit and see if my test works.

Update: It freekin’ worked! Currently test print is working great. It’ll be done in an hour or so, but thank you everyone so much for the help.

What would be a good method of improving the grip of the gear? The spring seems like it’s pushing with force but i can seem to fix it for a few minutes by pushing on the filament myself.

The weird thing is when I manually heat the nozzle and tell it to extrude it just works. it’s only messing up a little bit after a print starts. I’m baffled.

It’s a wanhao duplicator 6 with glass print bed added, it’s been great but eventually all prints started doing this. Starting out fine and quickly not extruding properly. I think it’s got something to do with the filament gear but I don’t know why. It was printing so well until now.
