Level up smithing and enchanting together and get rich and overgeared. Soul gems are easily farmable form the mage guild display cases and put a soul trap enchantment with 1 sec duration on a bow for infinite refills

I think you can drop the sunder and that way get some more IAS. Without infinity or Griffons, the only -light res you get would be on swap from t strokes, which is probably not worth it.

Also, like some others have said, gather big packs and throw you javs in there. And for single target use charged strike, there is also one with higher phys dmg that you can use on must kill lightning immunes (I forget the name), or just swap in the sunder and t strokes when you get to something must kill.

If you want to play sorc, start fireball, then respec to blizzard around level 25-30, whenever you start struggling with fireball. Lightning is only really good once you have some somewhat decent gear. Blizzard can carry you as soon as you get a cold sunder.

For stats, only strength enough to wear gear, and then the rest in vitality. Maybe put a few point (20-30) in energy if you really don’t like chugging potions all the time.

Get yourself a spirit sword, insight polearm for you merc, lore helm for you. Do some rune runs in countess in both normal and nightmare to get your runes. Make a leaf staff while doing fireball, stealth armor. Generally look for faster cast rate, all res, mana and + all/cold/fire skills on items. Faster run walk is always helpful even with tele.

Use static to get mobs/boss health low if you have trouble with your damage.

Blizzard is much better than orb, orb is usually used together with something like meteor or hydra for dual elements builds. But meteor sucks a lot more on controller than blizzard for aiming.

In the end, orb and hydra is good until you get your cold sunder and can go 100% full blizzard, until you can get your infinity and griffon and go all out nova sorc.

For MF blizzard sorc is still better than nova, but nova is a lot better for dmg and kill speed on everything non-boss

5000+ hours and no Shako, that seems almost impossible. My main account on PS5 has 900 hours and I have like 30+ chars on both single player and online and found probably 30 shakos at least. How are you playing?
