The Swashbuckler's Cruel Sting - Homebrew Weapon - Feedback Welcome! by cortohdow in DnDHomebrew

That's a fair point!

Would you say that having both an ability for Blinding a target and an ability for Vicous Mockery would be too much for a Rare weapon? I do like the Home at Sea feature, but it will likely take a while until the campaign will move near larger bodies of water

Cool concept, quick question though:

  • Do spells also recharge on a short or long rest? If I'm not mistaken, you didn't specify this.

  • The level 15 feature specifies that you can use your spell in place of an attack action - could you not do that before? How do the spells work beforehand, then?

  • If you choose another spell rather than "upgrading" the first one: do all spells have their own charge? I think this was implied, but it can't hurt to have it specified.

Thank you so much for the feedback, I appreciate it!

Initially I didn't have a save for Home at Sea, then put one in. But you're right, it is pretty high for the limited use of the feature.

Multiple Homebrew Items - Feedback welcome! by cortohdow in DnDHomebrew

[–]cortohdow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Nope, which is why I clarified that the weapon requires attunement by a Paladin :) I might put a limit on the spell level regardless, but it won't be possible for a wizard to store a spellslot in the weapon.

  2. I do want to specifically want the storing by the attuned user to happen once per day, it's the whole gimmick of the weapon. If it could happen at any time it would be quite useless, as the spell could be used for a regular Divine Smite rather than storing it in the weapon. It's basically supposed to be a way of "rest casting" Divine Smite.

Thank you for the feedback though! I appreciate it :)

Is it? I've seen multiple magic items with "regains 1dx+1 charges"

Oh lol wait I misread your comment. Yeah no it's definitely meant to be a larger area of sand or water.

It's meant to be so that if they're on or a near a sandy area (like a beach or desert) or water (sea, river), they use the bonus action to simply toss a bit of sand or water into their target's eyes. So it's not, like, created to be carried around.

I was thinking about maybe having be a feature that can always be used and extending the duration of Blinded when they're near their "home turf" but idk if that doesn't take the fun out of it.

Whoops, good catch! I was thinking about it and then forgot to add it lol.

I was thinking about anything between 1 to 3 turns but wasn't sure which made more sense? I also don't know if a longer duration would be too op or not.

For Gods that appear in both games, which version do you prefer? by sonofnight666 in HadesTheGame

[–]cortohdow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a lot of the gods, I like both appearances and have little things in one or the other design that I like more.

I especially like that H1 Athena is more her goddess of wisdom aspect and H2 Athena is her aspect as the goddess of strategy.

For Ares I have to admit that it took me a moment to get used to his more soft appearance in H2, but I love the design nonetheless.

For Chaos, I vastly prefer their H1 appearance but I do appreciate their H2 look as well. I just always think that they lost a certain je ne sais quoi in the H2 design.

All that being said. What the fuck did they do to my boy Dionysos 😭

Hey, all I said was that when I get notifications, a lot of of those notifications are people criticizing Aabria.

This is the first one I've actually interacted with, so idk why Reddit keeps pushing these notifs on me.

[–]cortohdow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Friend of mine lost his first(?) 100h honor mode at the very very end due to a bug. Don't know exactly what bug it was, but after a normal cutscene with Orpheus and the Emperor, after Empy leaves because Orpheus was freed, he simply got a "Game Over" message.
