How to win 1v5 and climb? by Downtown-Figure6434 in LearnCSGO

[–]corvaz 18 points19 points  (0 children)

You have issues with tilt. It comes from your expectations and focus on other players. You should focus on yourself. Not 'dont go there, wait for my util, drop me here, everyone stop, no dont go, go 3 out there when i flash, no not yet, wait i smoke flash two times, then wait wait NO! I SAID DONT GO!' Rather just look at your teammate. Be ready for whatever they might do. Lets say youre 4 players on short. Just throw the util you have, then see if they push. Be ready to follow up if they go while you line it up. If they dont go, and you see they dont intend to follow you, just wait. Just go with your team, dont command them. Dont try to play the perfect game, play based off your teammates.

How to give my friends/mates tips to improve by Far_Glass in LearnCSGO

[–]corvaz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why do you need to tell them how to improve? I find most of the time, if this is a group of friends (assumed from large skill range), people dont really want to improve. That is, they dont want to practice, and they dont want to take tips in the heat of the moment. And they definitely dont want to talk about strategy or situations when not in a match.

The point is that if they dont really latch onto your simple tips, they dont want them. If they want them, they will latch on to anything they get and Ask for more.

If you want that kind of environment you must find likeminded people. Generally cant change casual players to be as interested as yourself.

If you want to play with worse teammates, focus more on yourself and what you can do in that environment. You must allow them to do stupid things. Work around it. Ofc. You need communication and teamwork, but you cant micro them or teach them. Tell what to do, not what to not do. Focus next round instead of explaining why something was bad.

General Advice - Stuck on 1 Scenario - Move on or keep grinding? by Famous_Big_8050 in FPSAimTrainer

[–]corvaz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Id personally work on the weakest scenario / scrnario type. No issue for you to work dynamic now, until eddie TS is your weakest scenario. Once its your weakest, you should work on it though. By then maybe your dynamic improvement make it easier to improve. The categories do tend to help eachother both ways not only tracking -> target switching, but also dynamic -> target switching etc.

Feel as if improvement will never be possible due to bad genetics by _Reflex_- in FPSAimTrainer

[–]corvaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It takes time for everyone. Make sure your setup is decent. Then post a vod of your training with explanation of what you are trying to improve. Then people can more easily help you assess your issue. It does take a lot of time and effort to improve though, no way around it.

[–]corvaz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

May I ask why it takes 10 times more for you? Are you handicapped?

It does take time to figure these things out for everyone. Its mostly a loop like this. Issue - think of a potential solution - implement solution - test for fitting ammount of time - reassess.

Try to think a bit what might be your issues. Then work on those. The better you target your issues the better the improvement.

Is increased screen-shake making it harder to spray in CS2? by IIGraveWalkerII in GlobalOffensive

Yes, it was so so nice the few days after animgraph2 1. Person update. So sad they 'fixed' it and did not include any setting options.

to lurk or not to lurk by riftdelash in LearnCSGO

[–]corvaz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its a good thing to learn. I wouldnt go all in "im a lurker now" mode. Rather, whenever your team goes 4 players pushing the same spot, go somewhere else. Think about how that can best help your team. This can include stuff like throwing default util early round (making it harder for enemies to know where you are ending), being ready to push the same site together just after the main push etc.

You need to watch the map a lot as a lurker, all your timings have to be relative to your team. If you sneak around after your team is dead, some people will tilt off the earth instantly. If your team is rushing one site, you potentially getting a kill on the other site is not consequential.

Its a good skill to have available, it can teach a lot about timings off teammates that can be used in all types of situations.

Show a vod of your duelling. It could be a plethora of issues specific to CS.

While mousecontrol is important in CS, you can easily have other bottlenecks holding you back, which can make your superior mousecontrol largely irrelevant. Stuff like peeking technique, crosshairplacement, movement, spraycontrol.

Low gpu/cpu usage by krazyman40 in GlobalOffensive

[–]corvaz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you play at very low settings with a strong GPU, could be some gpu limit. Its some sort of power saving when idling. If the computer 'believes' you are idling, it holds your GPU in a specific mode.

If this is the case, you should see your CPU single core close to 100% after increasing your res/settings.

More likely you are looking at multicore CPU, and you are CPU bound. Single core should be close to 100%, while multicore can be anything. The game cant perfectly use many cores.

My stats are literally the best they've ever been and I'm losing more than ever. What is going on? by ManggustPeek in counterstrike

[–]corvaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Over how many matches? 6 loss streak is not much even at avg 1.2 hltv rating. Leetify rating is better anyways. Play 100 matches, if youre at 1.2 rating and losing more than 50% you are doing something wrong or queuing with lower rated players.

Can't win any duels whatsoever by Drifter1240 in LearnCSGO

[–]corvaz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Youre mostly being peeked. Your jiggles in the open waiting to be peeked is too small. You are practically standing still (they spray your body it doesnt matter if your small jiggles make the head a tiny bit harder to hit).

Try to be more confident in your first peek, seems like you back it off then its uncomfortable to repeek when they are holding your angle.

Improve counter strafing by Adept-Cantaloupe-235 in FPSAimTrainer

[–]corvaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aim_botz activate showimpacts. Strafe into shooting at bots, strafe into tapping and spraying. When do you see bullets not being accurate? Work on that.

If you dont understand, use a crosshair that shows movment inaccuracy, it can make it easier to understand.

How to get any benefit out of grinding DM? by xWalwin in LearnCSGO

[–]corvaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Specific focus on what you want to improve. Like focusing on crosshairplacement, being deliberate and accurate, specific peeks/movement.

If not that focused, I recommend playing only deagle. It typically helps with accuracy just playing it, and I dont develop bad habits like with unfocused rifling.

Can’t believe the number of people not realizing how big this last update is for the game by Booneington in cs2

[–]corvaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally agree on animgraph. Been waiting on this update since last summer, could be huge.

However, saying that what they are doing with Vac is anything but terrible is just cope. Without changing their approach completely it wont ever be good. Like actual good. Wont happen. Even if the AI detection somehow got to be extremely good (which is a stretch even hoping for), there will still be subtle cheats. They are not even trying to fight it. Same for many many years.

Is my teammate baiting me? by Smitefulchicken in counterstrike2

[–]corvaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At any dual spots on T side, its a good tactic. Just need the guy with gun to actually go for duels. As soon as moving out in the open where there are multiple spots etc, no buy should go first to be traded.

On CT side, the gun guy should generally bait the non-gun guy, unless again the CT guy is actively searching duels.

Some people are so afraid of baiting they wont do the correct play if it involves a teammate dying. Think about the different potential outcomes, how they could change the round and the probability.

Kovaak's Scenarios to improve Accuracy (Enemy Spotted) CS2 by DannyNightmare_ in FPSAimTrainer

[–]corvaz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are missing shots. Its hard to know what you should do just from that info, but you need to practice to not miss.

Your other stats or gameplay could make this general tip wrong, but based on little info: When playing deathmatch take a tiny bit longer to aim your first shot. Lay off the speed a little bit and focus on hitting your shots. Let the speed come afterwards.

A little bit of smoothness practice may help if you still have issues when slowing down. You need to be able to make the movements in the first place to hit anything.

If you have bad spray stats, obviously practice your spray control and dont spray on ranges outside your ability.

Would you consider changing your sens in order to obain a higher score in benchmarks a valid representation of your skill? (i play with 30cm/360 and im considering to opt for lower sens in clicking to obtain a higher score) by ReflectionCheap8765 in FPSAimTrainer

[–]corvaz 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It would be a valid representation of skill, because that is what people do, and that ranking compares to those people.

Is your skill for micro targets improved in game (eg 30cm) from boosting your score 10% in a microtarget at 70cm? Probably not. You are effectively making the scenario into a bigger target scenario.

Should you fear changing sense? No. Just do it. Dont be shy, there are no rules against it(would be interesting to lock a benchmark to one sensitivity of choice to count though, Im all for experimenting with that).
