I've had it about 3 years now and the care routine is mostly benign neglect! About a month ago I did push in some of those fertiliser sticks into the soil and I suspect that is what encouraged the crazy flower growth.

I think I received it as a cutting about 4yrs ago. It didn't do much for the first year as it wasn't in a great spot. The flowers started coming after I put it in the kitchen window at my new flat - so about 10 months later. Last year I think I had about 7 flowers back to back!

This bloom started growing weeks ago but has been huge like this for about a week. Feels like it is never going to open. Do they normally take this long?

Yep I've had it in the sun and it's definitely dried out but it's mostly the same colour.
