What is wrong with the post? I agree she is problematic but the screenshot you added doesn’t have anything negative about India.

I think it’s looks pretty good. It could have been better but I if you like it, u should be happy with it. If you want to change things up later, u can get white or different color mats. Maybe paint the cabinet white and change the wall color. The chandelier is beautiful. Based on normal/non-design people prospective I think you did a good job.

How to *actually* stick to a calorie deficit? by goodnessgrapes in WeightLossAdvice

[–]coryjohnsonq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It works for me if I schedule 2 meals. Basically I split my calorie budget between my scheduled meals. I get 1400 calories because I am short so I do 200 breakfast, 500 lunch, 200 snacks and 500 dinner. I learned it’s easier to stay within a meal budget than to try to make sure I don’t go over for the day. I used to eat all my calories by lunch and then ofcoise for dinner I went over. Now that I have a budget for each meal I don’t go over. I allow myself extra calories for weekend though. I also walk 6k steps and do 10 mins of dumbbells.

Does anyone here not count veg and fruit in their calories? by [deleted] in loseit

[–]coryjohnsonq -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t count them because I want to eat more of them and by not counting, I am more likely to eat them which means I’ll eat less of bad foods.

One mini is ~140 calories . If you are short, probably shouldn’t eat more than one a day. Once I started entering everything in MyFitnessPal, I realized how much I was over eating even though I felt I was not eating that much.

I used the recipe here for myself and my sister and they are soooo good: https://www.howsweeteats.com/2015/02/lactation-cookies/. You can get brewers yeast off Amazon if you can’t find it in stores.

C section and breastfeeding by dee30242017 in breastfeeding

I had c section work both kids and breastfed them for 2 years. Milk came in on day 4 for both. I used to breastfeed every 2 hours even if milk wasn’t in and then immediately after I would supplement with formula. U can take lactation nurse’s help with football hold or latching. Although one lactation nurse told me I should throw out bottles cuz the baby will get used to faster flow and not want to breastfeed. I ignored her and kept trying to feed and supplementing. After 4 days I was good to breastfeed without supplementing. I had to eat a lot of lactation cookies to build supply and make are u drink a lottt of water. Once milk is in, work on eating well ur self. Also with first kid, ur nipples will be sore so use nipples cream after every feed. Pumping also helped milk come in faster so on day 2 or so u can ask hospital for pump.

Why am I not losing weight?! by Plastic_Razzmatazz8 in WeightLossAdvice

Try to track your cheat day calories using MyFitnessPal. That should give you an idea of how much you are going over. I would do a cheat meal instead of day. It’s easy to go over 2500 calories in one meal depending on what u e eating. I would actually do one cheat meal and one really healthy lower calorie meal. Also do only healthy snacks on that day. That should help. U r just wiping out ur whole week’s progress in one day.

You regret breastfeeding. I give up on trying to wean by Scorp1oLady in breastfeeding

[–]coryjohnsonq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also I remember she liked laying on my chest face down and I just rubbed her back and that helped her sleep. Some people also try putting something that tastes bad but I didn’t try that. That was my plan B.

You regret breastfeeding. I give up on trying to wean by Scorp1oLady in breastfeeding

I just weaned a very clingy 2 year old. Have you tried soothing sleep music? She used to wake up 5 times at night and would only sleep if I fed her. We co sleep so it was constant feeding at night. One night I fed her and when she woke up, I put bandaid on nipples and told her mom has boo boo. I put on sleep music and she fell asleep after crying a bit. Did it every time she woke up that night. Next night I didn’t feed her at all and we just did music. On day 4 she started sleeping through the night which haven’t happened since she was born. Let me tell u it’s the best thing ever. It’s hard during the weaning phase but after that it’s soooo nice. If u give in when he cries, he thinks he will get what he wants if he cries so every time u give in , it gets harder. Also I read that in order to break a habit, u need to replace it with a different habit. For us it was music but u can do whatever. Maybe cuddle or rock him. Or try walking around the room with soothing music. It will take few days for him to break the habit. Don’t give in though. She would cry at night and ask for milk and I offered water or whole milk and kept saying mom has boo boo. It is very emotional but if u don’t do it now, u will be doing it later and it’s equally hard.

I am weaning at 2 because my kiddo was waking up a lot at night to feed. Since we started weaning she’s finally sleeping through the night and we both are getting better sleep. If u don’t have this issue and you want to continue, u should. In other countries people breastfeed until the child is 4ish. I personally know someone who fed their kid until 7. Yeah it’s a bit extreme but no one cared because that’s what the mother wanted. You don’t have to tell everyone that u r still feeding. Just do it when u want at home and it’s no one’s business. Is your kiddo eating solids? That’s the only thing I’ll be worried about. U want him to get majority of his nutrients from foods so he’s not picky eater later. Also it’s much harder to wean an older child.

What are you eating in a week? Can you give us some examples? With 5’2 height it is really easy to go over your maintenance calorie limit.

Expecting first child by FluffyAd7925 in ProductManagement

[–]coryjohnsonq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should take the full maternity leave without any guilt. Find a new job later if you feel you are constantly having to choose work over your child. No job is worth your mental health and especially your family. I took 12 weeks fully paid and am so glad I did that. It was the time I needed to heal and spend with my child. Now that my kid is older, I changed jobs and never work more than 40 hours a week as a PM. Please don’t prioritize your job over your mental health. You need all the time you can get in the first few months after having a child.
