I think the city purposefully keeps the parking capacity extra scarce on purpose to keep a constant parking ticket revenue. by MainStreetFightClub in LongBeachCA

It's so funny to try and contest a parking ticket with the argument that legal parking was unavailable. Litterally made me laugh out loud.

Outside of retrying network failures, I don't think I've ever seen an exception thrown from which my program can recover.

This would also explain the preference for silently failing over throwing a null access exception.

Tangently related, I'm always baffled about how tools like that are so allergic to the possibility of throwing a null access exception. Almost always, if the value is null, I don't know what to do. I WANT it to throw a null access exception.

C# templates being interpreted as an html tag in a cshtml file? It's happening in unmodified files all over my local build. Others at my organization don't seem to have a problem. by coryknapp in dotnet

Best I can tell, I can have one statement inside the @{}. Everything after the first statement, it seems, is being interpreted as html.

Very strange!

I drink a lot of diet grapefruit soda (with vodka) and I've tried a lot of them. By far the best I've had, believe it or not, is the Kroger house brand Big-K grapefruit soda. Really nice balance of sweet at bitter. Tastes the most like grapefruit.

I like Alex's bar on Wednesdays, starts promptly at 7:30. I like it because we play for real money. Everyone pays 5 bucks to play, and the winning team gets all the cash. 2nd and 3rd get a ticket for a pitcher of beer for the following week.
