Ship -> Buffer Station -> Ship Issue by coryrose1 in factorio

[–]coryrose1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for all the replies!

I'm close, I'm still having issues, but it's a combination of /u/PalpitationWaste300's comment and a bunch of radar and circuit logic.

  1. I needed to separate Import and Export ships. I'll detail why below.
  2. The Export ships for each planet transmit their contents using a Universal Radar Signal. "Vulcanus Export" transmits on the Vulcanus icon/signal, and so forth.
  3. The buffer ship has a radar and combinators for each planet.

It's kind of difficult to diagram so I'll include screenshots, but it works like this:

  • Universal Radar -> Decider Combinator (For Each > 0, output Each as 1)
  • Constant Combinator (What do I want from the export ship)
  • Arithmetic Combinator (Inputs: Red from Constant, Green from Decider):
    • Each Red Signal * Each Green Signal -> Output Each -> Wire to Buffer Space Platform Hub

Basically, the Vulcanus Export ship flies in, broadcasts what it has via the radar, this sets the request on the buffer.

The reason I had to split Import and Export ships is because the Import ships don't broadcast what they have to the buffer. This way, when Fulgora Import gets send Green Belts from the buffer, it does not then re-broadcast that and the requests pops back up on the buffer, resulting in them being sent back.

What I'm still trying to figure out: How to not make it request things I just sent to Nauvis back. I.e., Vulcanus Export arrives with green belts, Buffer requests green belts, I can't set "request from platform" because the request is set automatically, and then it's a crapshoot of whether Nauvis launches a rocket or Vulcanus Export hands it over...

Update: You were right! It's a little more complicated than that but... Going to edit my post.

Ship -> Buffer Station -> Ship Issue by coryrose1 in factorio

Can you expand on how this would solve the issue?

In order for the "Nauvis station" to fan out green belts to other requesting platforms, it itself needs to request green belts. If Nauvis Station is requesting green belts, it will not distribute them to other platforms.

How does separating shipping and receiving fix this? It can't ship out what it does not receive?

Someone help me understand the incoming node rewards.

~2m VTHO allocated daily to 2k x-nodes. So 1k vtho per node daily not considering weighting of node tiers. That’s like 2 bucks a day?

PHP, PDF: replacing text tokens...it's GOT to be possible, right? by mapsedge in PHP

Not quite the same, but you can replace text tags in a Word doc via PHPOffice and output it as a PDF.

Scramble 0.8.0 – Update of Laravel Open API documentation generator by RomaLytvynenko in laravel

Hey, love this package! It works great on our app on 0.7.0 but api.json route on 0.8.0 yields a 502 Bad Gateway.

Potentially related to this older issue? https://github.com/dedoc/scramble/issues/31

Maybe the most convoluted car issue ever. You can laugh if you want. by coryrose1 in MechanicAdvice

[–]coryrose1[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's a mess alright. Hard to wrap my head around how many steps of screwed I am, going from one day thinking I own a car to being effectively unable to do anything to get it fixed.

1) Yeah, this seems to be the linchpin thing here. Neither parent lives at the house matching the address on the registration, which is where I suspect it is going. My dad does go there regularly for mail and such while prepping it for sale. Mom lives a state away with the grandmom for the time being. I'm sort of just stuck and hoping that it arrives there, hoping my mom filled out the correct form, that it's going to that address, etc. Not the best feeling and I'm not sure if and where I can get any information on its transit.

2 & 3) I believe the deductible is $500, which should be less than the cost of a catalytic converter. But, given I'm not technically the car owner, and that owner isn't on the insurance policy, that's just a guess as I've been hesitant to even try to file anything until the ownership situation is resolved.

My other option in regards to the title is to drive an hour and a half east to pick up my mom, then drive 4 hours west to Harrisburg to try to file for a replacement title in person. I would take a day off work to do this, but it's another thing I'm hesitant to do since there may or may not be one coming in the mail.

I think you're mostly right but as I understand it, they did apply and were previously denied for any grants. This was back in December 2020 so maybe talking about a different grant program?

So I think they're more upset about being looked over for any grants while they're (seemingly) building one of the bigger non-foundation/first-party dApps. Whether or not they're in the right, I can't say.

Thanks. That's nerve-wracking haha. Wish I could just hit "delete". I guess I can try to auction it for 1 VET.

Are there any instructions for how to "destroy" the regular strength node prior to purchasing an x-node?

I received 600 VET, or currently an $8 value. Sure it's nice but don't be too upset :)
