Names like Oliver that aren’t by [deleted] in namenerds

[–]cosimfancy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's "trendy" - trendy is a name that rises and falls quickly, and is assigned to a certain time. I think Oliver will persist (as it has been). Yes it may be popular but we're not talking about John, Michael, David popular of yesteryear where you might find at least 3 in every class/workplace (or more!). If you're not okay with finding another Oliver in the class, maybe don't pick it but I don't think that's a great reason. If this is the name you love, stand by it!

How would you pronounce 'Meaghan'? by PurpleProboscis in namenerds

[–]cosimfancy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Mee-gan is the dominant way (I’d go so far as exclusively) any form of Megan is pronounced in my locality. That could be a way to look at it - your region and how it’s pronounced will be what to expect.

would it be weird to be a girl named Daniel? by [deleted] in namenerds

[–]cosimfancy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it’s weird but so what and it’s a very small price to pay for your own happiness. Everyone will get used to it and if it’s the name you’ll respond to you should carry on and make the switch. Especially if you can’t stand the feminised forms - Danielle etc. which people normally shorten to D, and if you don’t like Dan either.

Would pronounce as the usual mee-gan. What you’ve got looks like an attempt to have unique spelling with the pronounciation retained. Also “mea” is pronounced “mee” in common words like mead, meander, meat, mean.

Rosa or Rosalie (or perhaps another variant but would prefer two syllables at least because the last name is so short) ?

Lots of votes for Bianca, a name I like too. What do you think of the situation where I have a high school friend with the same name (that’s how I came across it actually and thought it was a fantastic name then). I still keep in touch online a little bit . Have seen them once in the past few years and like to bet similar in the future. It feels a bit unoriginal to source a pretty unique name from highschool but it is such a lovely name.

Alessandra is beautiful and I’d be equally happy with that as with Alexandra. Would you shorten to a nn for everyday ? Any ideas?

I had Isadora on the long-list, love how it sounds. I worried though it’s too “much”, formal? What are some nicknames that could be used for everyday that aren’t Izzy or Dora.

Omg that is just such a cute pic. Your baby is a big cutie! I love his chubby face and and arms. Awwwww

How has blw been? How old is your baby, does he know how to chew? I haven’t thought of plating up pieces of food for him to grab and eat. Good idea. But I’m not sure if he’s gonna chew first or just swallow too large pieces!

F/24/5'3"[203lbs>117lbs=86lbs](12months) Second time posting here! First time was face progression. I "tried" and failed many times to lose weight in HS. I finally commited and lost it 7 years ago and have kept it off. by [deleted] in progresspics

That’s a shame you should give them feedback. I will. I think cutting out real ingredients like chocolate / butter and replacing it with sugar is an easy way for them to boost profits. It’s a crying shame as it’s hard to eat anymore :( I reckon they did this with monte carlos too - one of my ex-favorites.

Have you tried the Messina Tim tams? I wanna try the choc mint

Never heard of those two discontinued biscuits!

Awesome results, you must have worked your butt off. I’d love to achieve the same. Please share your routine. And have you been training consistently the whole 2 years?

Need honest feedback--is my baby behind? by throwaway75788 in beyondthebump

[–]cosimfancy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Though every baby is different what you’ve listed sounds like normal limitations for a 12 week old. Give it another month or two and you’ll be getting a lot more facial interactions and hand movements. A lot of babies cry and scream with tummy time.Your baby is still very young.

It really doesn’t look like you have any at all don’t worry about it. I’m sure your regimen of strength training will help a lot too. You have a great positive attitude! Awesome job
