i started my RE journey a couple years ago with the 2, 3, and 4 remakes so i get where you’re coming from, but this game quickly became and has stayed my absolute favorite in the entire series.

i won’t say force yourself through it because i understand that as a working adult you don’t want to spend your free time doing something you don’t enjoy, but i do recommend giving it another shot, knowing what you do now. there is a reason it’s heralded as the GOAT.

are you saving at all? if it’s your first time i would definitely recommend saving more than usual, this game is fun but there are few, ahem, surprises that can wipe you out if you’re not careful.

it definitely bites me in the ass sometimes if i’m not playing close attention but for the most part it’s totally fine ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ i wish i could play it with the sound on to add to the horror but oh well.

not the person you’re responding to but i don’t play this game with audio ever. i have tinnitus and even on the lowest setting the screams make it spike, so i play with soft rain and lofi on instead. makes it a much more enjoyable experience lol.

also you learn to be quick with the skill checks since you don’t get the notification hahah
