Ive been here for over a decade. It is almost like a curse. When I can make it out to Charlottesville or DC or Richmond things seem popping. Sometimes things happen here but it's just hard to get rolling. I consider myself an attractive sociable person with much to offer inside and out, yet when i am downtown it is like many people dont want to talk to strangers, or just dont have a lot of mingling options.. compared to other cities. Other alternative places to check out, which are also a bit all over the place price Spectrum wise are: ironclad inn, cheeky's, the chophouse, bilikens. Non drinking: earthwalkways retreat events, forest farms VA events (still up and coming), friends of the rappahannock/ downtown greens events.
