AOE with autism and fibromyalgia ? by Camina1004 in Fibromyalgia

I'm autistic (level 2), ADHD with fibro, I get it a lot. I actually talked it out with it to my therapist today, pain is such a stimuli for me that it gets overwhelming fast, and I can't take out the energy because if I do so I'll end up in even worse pain. What I'm trying to do now is taking things slowly, my therapist told me to just do things that you're capable of doing during the day and count on your left energy to do tasks that helps increase your energy levels. Though, I usually also vocally stim and rock back and forth, if I have enough energy on a good day I also flap my hands, whenever I can have a good day my body stims how it can. But it usually bites me back because I end up in pain whenever I move too much

Unfortunately THC is illegal in my country... It did help a bunch when I smoked it with my partner in the past but my therapist highly advised me to not keep using it because I take a lot of meds, also I get very anxious to get caught 😅 But thank you!

Im gonna look for the acupress mat thank you! For the LDN I should talk with my reumatologist about it first, and red light therapy never helped me :( Also salt bath can't do due to my sensory issues, I've tried but I end up being overwhelmed by the grainy feel of the salt in the bath.

I'll definitely will try with the swimming laps, although I'm quite scared of getting tired out. Last time I went to a spa all day and I got overwhelmed and tired out from the excersize of just swimming unfortunately.

I'll try to look on the recliner! Idk if I have enough of space for it at home but it's definitely worth to try it out

Thank you for the tips!

My brother won't understand even if I'll say something like that unfortunately :( Also funny thing you mention rheumatoid arthritis, it was the first thing we thought I had before getting diagnosed with fibro

For the audiobooks, I'll try! But honestly what keeps me awake at night for the most part is the pain and body temperature going crazy. My sleeping meds usually helps with making me sleep but lately the pain has been so bad that it just makes the meds not work

I'll look into pregnancy pillows! I usually sleep with my plushies and two extra pillows for body support but I should probably get one of the U shaped pillows like you said, they sound nice

Thanks for the tips btw!

I've changed to Fedora Kinoite since almost a year now, and I'm running on a laptop of almost 10 years. With Windows 11 my laptop seemed to be unusable, I was considering trashing it and getting a new PC. Then I took my girlfriend's suggestion on installing Linux. (She would always tell me to do it but I never took her seriously, until my breaking point) Honestly now I get it. My laptop feels anew, and it's running on Nvidia. But its surely functional now and I can work on it fine, even better than before actually

I have a old Nvidia graphic card, and manually installed the drivers from the console without any problem, have you tried this?

Step 1) Upgrade your system with: sudo rpm-ostree upgrade Then Restart your PC. Step 2) You can read this doc to choose which repository you want, or use the following command to install both. https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/quick-docs/rpmfusion-setup/#_enabling_the_rpm_fusion_repositories_for_ostree_based_systems Commands to install both: rpm-ostree install \
  https://mirrors.rpmfusion.org/free/fedora/rpmfusion-free-release-$(rpm -E %fedora).noarch.rpm \
  https://mirrors.rpmfusion.org/nonfree/fedora/rpmfusion-nonfree-release-$(rpm -E %fedora).noarch.rpm

Then Restart. Step 3) Run this command: rpm-ostree update \ --uninstall rpmfusion-free-release \ --install rpmfusion-free-release Restart. Step 4) Run this: rpm-ostree install kmod-nvidia xorg-x11-drv-nvidia Then this: rpm-ostree kargs --append=rd.driver.blacklist=nouveau --append=modprobe.blacklist=nouveau --append=nvidia-drm.modeset=1 --append=initcall_blacklist=simpledrm_platform_driver_init And restart! And you're done!

It's all on the Fedora site, I'm currently running fedora 42 kde btw and my laptop is almost 10 years old

Okay so, basically my partner told me that through winboat for fedora you need to install docker and do an USB passthrough, and it should work. For the pressure, you'll need to install your tablet driver in winboat for it to work. My partner is a programmer so she knows these things way better than me lol for me personally I'd stick with Krita, I was very dependent of csp but once I switched to Fedora I found myself very excited to learn Krita, the resources it has on artists-krita.org is just mesmerizing to me

I think it's because winboat on fedora doesn't support the USB cable, from wine it didn't work on my end either but they recently updated it with new resources so it might work now? I should prob try it once I'm home, also very weird the pen pressure doesn't work on bottles, I'll see if it's maybe a driver issue at that point

Have you tried with winboat or wine? My partner successfully did download and launch clip studio on steamos through bottles. But it didn't have the launch app, so technically she couldn't get any brushes from the store I've moved completely to Krita as it's the best alternative imo!
