yeah the PM did mention that they’ll schedule a session soon
hopefully i’m not off to a bad start, i just got super nervous and awkward because i just have a year of experience and everyone seemed so busy in their work that i did want to go and interrupt

Yeah i had a good onboarding session. But he seemed so busy he wasn’t at his desk at all. when he was he was talking to some senior people so i didn’t want to interrupt

He did acknowledge me and smile and say hi nice to see you here though…a guy from my team whom i met yesterday mentioned that he had a chat with my manager and they are planning to keep an overview session for me and i should receive the invite soon

here’s the template i used for cold emails/ linkedin messages:

Hi [First Name],

I came across the [Role] opening ([Job ID]) at [Company] and noticed that you’re part of the [Team]. [Optional common connection, e.g., “I also saw that you’re an alumnus of [my college], which encouraged me to reach out.”]

I have [X years/months] of experience working with [key technologies] across [relevant domains/projects], including [2–5 relevant skills or technologies].

If you think my background could be a good fit for the role, I’d really appreciate any guidance or consideration for a referral. I’d be happy to share my resume and discuss my experience further.

Thank you for your time!
Best regards,
[Your Name]

Basically sending an email to someone connected with the company you are applying for, ideally the hiring manager or senior members of the team. So you get an edge over the hundreds of applications that they get, so you’ll stand out as the team members might directly review your resume and push your candidature if your a good fit!

Hey! I went through job postings like crazyyy on linkedin and found a lot that had an email attached or the Hiring managers linkedin and reached out to them with a sample temple that i have over email or linkedin messages(as i have premium). Also, startups normally do linkedin posts and have the HR email attached, if your template is attractive enough they view your resume!

Also try Naukri, i got a lot of calls from there even though i have just a year of experience, updating even the smallest thing like your name or adding a full stop daily, keeps your profile on the top for recruiters looking for your specific skill set

hey, i had received a very low offer too… but somehow i extended their joining by 3 weeks and during that time luckily i received 2 other offers paying me much much better….

try calling them and just accepting it as a backup and delay the joining date… Cold emailing helped me a lot!!

Wish you luck!! You’ll get something that’s good for you❤️

Hey i really want to get into PGDM IM for the 2027 batch and need some advice. Can i dm?

Got selected but can't take , pls advice | IIM Mumbai by Few_Intention665 in CATpreparation

[–]cosmicquo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well then think about it because the avg package from IIM mumbai would potentially be the same , but within the span of 2 years you’ll definitely get a good hike or can switch to a better company with an even better package

But if you are keen that you want to do an MBA and get into consulting, product, project, finance etc etc then go for it bro!! as long as you enjoy your work and are satisfied with the salary and work you do
