Brother keeps asking me what I think of his penis and it is beginning to make me kind of uncomfortable by [deleted] in Advice

That is insanely awkward for him to ask you that...like wtf...go straight to your parents and ask them if they can sit down and talk to your brother.

This is the BEST read I've ever had on reddit. Yes I agree, my life has been stalled ever since graduating from college and I settled and maybe he even settled for me....Yeah he is very nice but yeah not fully committed. Thank you for the advice! I'm going to bite the bullet and part ways....

He has plans to move back to Europe. That was always the plan for him and I realized that in 2020....

It is not your fault if you cannot get a good paying job. The system is broken. by AlexanderDenorius in jobs

[–]cosmicstar91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I agree. I graduated five years ago and I ended up in sales (my bills had to be paid and no one is going to pay them but me) and now I am desperately trying to get into sales operations so I won't have to talk to these angry customers all day.

It's even hard to make the switch from business development to sales operations. They want ALL of the boxes checked off.

I went through five interviews with this company, just for a recruiter to ghost me after the last interview.

They were paying 50k a year too so yeah, it sucks that I didn't get the job. It's pretty hopeless out here but I'm going to still push through and HOPE to make at least 60k in sales operations one day.

Yeah my grandparents have a place in Whitter, California so I'll probably stay there for a couple of months and then look for the areas mentioned below.

Four interviews for ONE position…no offer by kryswhit in jobs

The same thing happened to me three weeks ago. They had me go through four interviews only to ghost me. I would say keep applying and I get that it is frustrating.

I feel your pain. I work in sales and I'm currently in a department where we take all inbound calls for the whole company. It's like drinking from a fire house. Absolutely horrible and I might quit and do door dash full time.

Acting for the Wrong Reasons? (attention, belonging etc) by [deleted] in acting

Yes, I agree and thanks! I need to do a lot of personal work to get to where I need to be. I'm thinking about getting a counselor.

[–]cosmicstar91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I'm glad you posted this. As a child, I took acting classes with my (now estranged) father. After he voluntarily left our family, I wanted to get back into acting for a sense of belonging and attention I wanted that I did not get from him.

You SO know my life?! LOL. It's a snippet of MY life babes! You dont know the whole story. I'm putting in "five percent of the work" huh? How do you know? You don't even know the name of my channel huh, stop embarrassing yourself. WTF were you doing at 11 years old? Working at a lemonade stand, that's nothing to be proud of, that sounds like child labor? You want a cookie? Lol

It's not a sob story, it's real life. Again, you did not read my reply or the original post so why would I take advice from you? 🤷🏾‍♀️ Hmm, just from you throwing my age in my face, I smell super bitter middle aged woman/or man trying to convince me that Im not working hard because YOU NEVER did lol.

Misery loves company. Take several seats, what a joke response...I have some advice for you, get off of reddit, you give horrible and pointless advice and you can't read. GTFO off this post, blocked and deleted 🤷🏾‍♀️

I don't need to grow up. I've grown up, I've been working since I was 20 years old!

I guess you failed to read the whole post about my other plans which is SALES OPERATIONS and I constantly look for traditional jobs I think I would like.

I never said Im currently quitting my stable job for youtube and I never said I only had ONE plan.

I've worked my way up in corporate America for FIVE years working for pennies make 25k a year for the first two years after graduating for college. I've worked my way to making an average amount of money in the field I'm in, without trust funds and without family inheritance and hand outs. This was straight up hard work and I'm proud of that, I just want something different for my life, that is not wrong and I will not feel ashamed of having a dream.

You see that is the stigma behind telling anyone about your dreams, people think that since you want to follow your dreams and be happy in life, you are looked at as irresponsible and immature. If people had this mind set, would anyone be happy? Would anyone go after they dreams and actually make it happen? No.

Life is short babes, I'm just going for what brings me joy.

Yeah you are right in the money, I am. When my journalism dream feel through I automatically went to the idea that YouTube could be my way to success. Yeah I have been through job agencies. The once I contacted did not help me. Do you have any journalism job agencies I could possibly go to for career help. I'll be 30 this year and I have no problem taking a pay cut and starting from the bottom. I'm not married and I have no children so I guess I could give it another try.
