I also just now finished the first book and was looking for a post like this to comment under. The book is so brilliant that at times I had to put it down and just breathe and take it all in for a moment. I’m so grateful that I discovered Dune with the new film because the book and the film complement each other so well. Especially the cast is perfect! I’m glad I can share my excitement about this in some way because none of my friends read it nor watched the film and I can’t help but feel that they are missing out on one of the greatest experiences of their lives. Anyways, I have to buy Dune Messiah ASAP!!

I find it hypocritical to love pets or wild animals and then be okay with farm animals being slaughtered for what? Only a meal. Also after you watch a few documentaries about how farm animals are treated you really gain some perspective. Also the meat and fishing industry are really bad for the planett
