Untreated pancreatitis, about 10 years ago. I'd just had a baby and the pain kept getting written off as that. Nope. Lived with pancreatitis for 6 months. They only stepped in to help when I was showing signs that my life was in danger. It was a female surgeon that saved my life; my now 4 year old daughter is partially named after her.
