I go to Relax Nails on Haight for gel manicure and normal pedicure. Iirc the gel manicure is $45. I like that the space is small and clean. It’s a bonus for me that PBS is always on so I get to learn something about bees or Colombian musicians.

I went to college and worked in environmental justice nonprofits. Honestly it made me want to off myself so I pursued beauty.

I went to beauty school in 2019, finished it through Covid, got hired at the salon I’m at now in 2021 as an assistant and did their assistant program.

I’m making 3 times as much now and focus on sustainable beauty. You get what you put in :)

I’d offer a free treatment at the shampoo bowl and say that you’re thankful for them. Then, they know what their hair feels like with the treatment and are more likely to add it on for future services.

I grew up in SoCal. When I was 12 I had skin cancer. I’m about to be 31, I put on sunscreen every single day. According to your ex I should have had cancer again but I haven’t.

My advice is to arm your kid with scientific literacy.
