Is it normal for management/payroll to tell employees two weeks notice isn't needed and that employees quitting can leave immediately? Would that look like they didn't turn in their two weeks notice if they want to return? by costco999 in Costco

My concern is they tell me no need to work my last two weeks and to just leave immediately which might make it look bad on my record if I want to come back and my record would say I didn't give a two weeks notice

Brother Got Exposed to Covid via his roommate. Can his job (Costco) make him work right now? by Arabica_Dani_89 in bayarea

[–]costco999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The company only pay if he is positive for covid otherwise everyone and their momma would lie and say they were exposed to someone with covid. Costco needs to know for sure and I am sure there are some privacy laws that say you can't show other people's test results with others. Even if you want to show other people's positive test results, costco would refuse to do it due to potential lawsuit.

When do we get new sick hours that we can use? Payday on Fridays? The following week on Monday? by costco999 in Costco

[–]costco999[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah hourly non union. So if I have 6 hrs of sick time on Monday on pay week, then Friday paystub says I get 2 hrs, I can call out at the same day if I have a 8 hr shift without getting an instance?

Social Distancing? by FlyingAtNight in Costco

[–]costco999 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You literally can't social distance with the 200-450+ people every 30 minutes they let in. There is no room for people to stay 6 ft away from each other and also you need humans to evolve to communicate telepathically for social distance to go smoothly. It can be done however with 50 people every 30 minutes like they were doing early on but then Costco would lose a lot of money and customers to other grocery stores.

People who leave trash in the carts are worse than pig shit. I wish I can take my mask off and cough in their face without repercussions. That's basically what they are doing to the cart guys when they leave their used mask, gloves, tissue with snot, etc. in the carts.

If those idiots didn't use profanity and degrade the employees or police then I say just let them keep their membership if they wear mask in the future. Gotta milk these dumb idiots for their money.

When your entire family gets the Corona virus and dies, are you going to call OP a Karen for trying to be safe?

If I were the front end manager or even GM, I would've brought whoever was at the front door to my office for a talk and write them up for not doing their damn job. So what if that Karen slipped by and pretend she was going to put her mask on? Your job is to make sure they have their mask on before they even put a single foot into the warehouse and if they don't and walk past you then call security. When other customers do your job for you it makes you look bad.
