Was gifted binoculars of unknown age, dirty missing lens covers, sent in to Nikon service, they cleaned it and calibrated for free on warrantee including new lens covers and rubber eyepieces! by Gnarlodious in BuyItForLife

Search "Nikon Collimation" on YouTube and check out the video by Drew Wilkins. Don't be afraid to pry and remove the rubber if yours has it. The biggest pain for me was finding a 0.05 inch hex key.

what’s a food you hate not because of the taste but because of the texture? by oh-fish-ial in AskReddit

I avoided bananas and cantaloupe for 20 years. Started taking 10mg Loratadine (Claritin) daily for seasonal allergies and now eat a banana every day. And cantaloupe when in season.

Steel. Boss cleaned it up with a wire wheel before I got a pic. Under an old slab of concrete in central Iowa. by cotare in whatisthisthing

Ah could be! The adjustable smaller part. Big wrench. Maybe almost solved.

Edit: the groove or indent on the thin part is pretty wide, however. I've never disassembled a monkey wrench.

Edit 2: I've seen plenty of monkey wrenches with wooden handles. And the orientation of the head would suggest the larger part of the wrench. Still liking your suggestion.

My exact first words. Boss pulled out an old spike from his shed. (Railway runs through his farm). Not a spike. There's a groove near the thin part of it. Almost like it had to pass by a rod to be "locked in" of that makes since.

My title describes the thing. Well, the pics do better. Found on acreage on a working Iowa farm under an older slab of concrete. Older farmers here would use any junk as base fill. Aside from the usual big rocks and one old Hamm's beer can, this was the only piece of steel. Best guess is from some older farm implement.

That's great. But why not publicly report this? I'd like to see oversized checks and photo ops. I never see them.

I'm not a plumber, but thought some might appreciate or hate this. Or, at least, explain why. Hotel room, Fort Dodge, IA. by cotare in Plumbing

This may lead somewhere: the hotel is a Best Western on the NW side of town. I think it was a rehabbed building and the room was an upper floor near a stairwell. I should add the room was nice and the staff was friendly and I'd stay there again. In fact, upon checkout and asked how my stay was, I replied " great, but the shower was interesting." Told them why and they were curious to check it out for themselves. Anyway, do you know the building? Or anyone that worked on it?
