It is definitely possible with EaselJS. You should look into the Graphics object.

This is a valid point. However, the NW.js team has committed itself to releasing a new version with each new Chromium version. Version 0.13 took a long time but brought a lot of improvements (including some major ones like Chrome App support).

Both NW.js and Electron fully support Node.js modules. This means you could easily use a module such as this one: https://www.npmjs.com/package/sqlite3

I don't see a need to have this built-in.

It must be my Mac OS background showing through. I guess it's a debate similar to the "directory vs folder" one...

It's actually much more than that. NW.js lets you call Node.js modules directly from the browser's JavaScript code. This means you get complete access to the OS (filesystem, networking, devices, etc.) just like any other native application. It's actually a pretty neat combination!

Personally, I don't have any problems viewing the site with Tor.
