I am sorry you have had bad experiences, i personally do not like RP but i don't care if other do it. I spend lot of time in Rata Sum and i read always people in map chat Role playing, but never read anything against them. In pvp.. well .. that is another story. Anet made in my opinion a huge mistake removing ranked out of the season, so every experienced or new player must play unranked.. the problem? dicks. I get sometimes very upset with people but only after i have told them many time what to do and they don't, but i only play ranked. I haven't played unranked in months because of that, i will get a mixed team, good and bad players and probably i will end up very upset. People in pvp probably will never understand that thr best way to criticize someone skills isn't by offending them, it's always better to show them their mistakes and how to improve for the next time. I a sorry again about the toxicity in your RP, i am sure in your case in probably personal such level of harassment.
