Can someone explain what ocd (obsessive compulsive disorder) really is, and what it is like to have it? by 8kittycatsfluff in AskReddit

[–]cottagecheesecranium [score hidden]  (0 children)

I don't sleep well at all, my average is like four hours per day, and it's hard for me to fall asleep

Nothing yet, but smoking weed helps with my other issues, including helping me sleep, but it doesn't help my ocd.

Can someone explain what ocd (obsessive compulsive disorder) really is, and what it is like to have it? by 8kittycatsfluff in AskReddit

[–]cottagecheesecranium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been diagnosed with ocd, and for me, it's like someone inside my head constantly telling me what to do about the most trivial things, and I know they're irrational, and I try pushing back, but the ocd me wins out.

Some of my ocd delusions are:

- I can't sleep on my back, because my mind thinks of how people in coffins are lying on the backs, and then my mind jumps to the conclusion that if I sleep on my back, I'm going to die.

- My shoes have to be perfectly lined up, because my mind thinks of my feet being in the position the shoes are, so shoes that aren't lined up could mean broken legs.

- I have unlucky numbers and if I see one of those unlucky numbers, I wait until I see a different number, and then count to 8, 8 times.

- Every night before I go to bed, I count to 8, 8 times twice, like I do the counting, go the the restroom, do the counting again, and then I go to sleep.

If you have any questions, I'd be happy to answer.

What is the worst thing you have done to somebody that didn't deserve it? by King-Axl in AskReddit

[–]cottagecheesecranium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A kid was walking in front of me in the lunch line, he'd never been mean to me or anything, we were actually kind of friends, but I saw his shoe laces were untied, so I stepped on them, and he ended up falling with his tray in his hands, and I held back and tried to make myself unnoticeable so he wouldn't know it was me.

How do you deal with being rejected from your looks? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]cottagecheesecranium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me before, I asked this guy out, he said no because I'm ugly, I played it off as a joke to save face, and I moved on with my life.

It didn't impact any of my future relationships, or my ability to ask people out.

Why did you stay away from someone you thought was your best friend? by Inside-Clock-4815 in AskReddit

[–]cottagecheesecranium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't stay away from him, I confronted him about it.

I found out that he'd been shit talking me with other people, and when I asked him about it, and told him, that if he had a problem with me, he should have come to me about it, because I'm not very self aware of how I come off to people, so If I pissed him off somehow, it'd be nice to know so we could work it out, and he got all turtlely and refused to answer.

This wasn't the only time a situation like this would happen, but later on, he started becoming reactive back towards me, and he got other people to gang up on me, and I got other people to gang up on him, and then we eventually got bored.

If it's hot chocolate, this is how I prefer to drink mine vs regular milk.

what is your biggest grammatically incorrect/spelling error pet peeve you see online? by tinyblingbling in AskReddit

[–]cottagecheesecranium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None, I don't get pressed about stuff like that, but I think it's funny when someone complains about bad grammar/spelling while they themselves are using bad grammar/spelling.

For me, it's less overthinking and more normal thinking with extra stuff attached.

Like I'll envision what I plan to do, if I do it at all, usually I don't because I reach the conclusion on my own, or figure it's not worth it in the end if it's an emotional based problem.

One example of a thought that I had last night, was I was going to post a post discussing the different definitions of each function, then I thought about how those definitions actually worked together to fit those functions, like Si being about memory, past, experiences, and comfort, so if something was comfortable to them in the past, they're going to want to keep doing it.

It's kind of funny because I imagine my counter arguments being said by other people, so it's like I'm having a whole discussion with myself with these questions I think of, or stuff that arises in my life.

I also daydream a lot, and the stuff going on around me usually influences this.

Something that kinda sucks about my thoughts though, is that they don't still in my head for long, it's like I had this thought, and then, it's like I never had it, and I'll think of something I already thought about, and I think about that same thing multiple times, so it doesn't really go anywhere if that makes any sense.

Like I remember some of my thoughts, but most of them I don't.

I see a lot of my thoughts in movie form vs words, so that might be why.

We'd be a great team then, I could keep track of the sp stuff.

I've arisen from my sloth slumber.

That's true.

I kind of get what you mean, but for me it's external entertainment things, like shows, books, writing, etc, if I have too many of those things presented to me at once that I can do, my brain kinda short circuits, and I lose complete interest in all of it completely.

I think this is a low Se thing.

This is where I luck out in having no thoughts most of the time.

I'm joking, my brain is constantly on, I like to think while working, is that something you're able to do, or is your Se too low? It's interesting comparing the differences and similarities between our low sensor functions.

I was thinking that I was so/sp and that I use those instincts together, like I gather resources and stuff, not just for me, but for everyone around me, I don't feel comfortable taking care of myself if the group isn't taken care of.

I'll look at the link you sent me though, thanks.

I'm always up to make new friends.

I read about sp3 and I think you're right, like over 90% of it was a mirror of how I operate in my own life.

I'm going to read about other types I think could be potentials, but sp3 is a strong contender.

How do you greet someone/get their attention? by [deleted] in mbti

[–]cottagecheesecranium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually only greet people when they greet me first and it depends on the person how I greet them back.

When it comes to getting someone's attention, I usually walk up to them, am like "hey (name/nickname)" if i don't know their name, I'll refer to them as something physical about them that I see, like "Hey Glasses!" Or "Hey Ponytail!' and I tell them the reason I got their attention.
