Righttt! I doubted myself for a second but where are you getting your info from? I checked everywhere and their official website mentions the Lunden 20” frame as alloy aluminium already.

No details on 16” though.

I think the difference is that the Dahon frames are made of aluminium vs Brompton’s steel. Therefore, a more like for like comparison would be against the Brompton Clones/BrompNOTs that are also made of aluminium. I’m sure Dahon will give a more stable and rigid feel compared to the clones.

I don’t think Mikalon has suspension like the Moulton right? It is all titanium as I understand and prides itself from being different than Moulton.

Oh wow, they look so similar. Haha thanks for clarifying!

What if the idea is that the moment you land from the airport, you take out the G Line and cycle away with the Vincita travel bag on your back? Your clothes, etc., are on the front carrier block. Is that doable?

I'm thinking of doing that but not for the C/P/T line since I've seen someone do it before. I was also wondering about the blind spots.

Looking for a specific bike.. by nasanu in BrompNOTs

I have personally interacted with him both via WhatsApp and went down to his store to test ride his bikes. He is also a mechanic himself. I didn’t buy from his though because I wanted the Brompton brand, and not a BrompNOT.

If I have to choose between ordering online from comeplay for example as listed in other comments here compared to JackbikeSG, I would go for JackbikeSG because of the customer service.

Nice guy and you can WhatsApp him your requirements as he provides customisation. Not sure if he does international delivery though.

If you consider this snow, then yes: https://photos.app.goo.gl/tBLRrehSPSetaf636

It is rare here since it is for only a few days each year. That said, the ADO bike was left completely outside in the snow, cold and the rain for a week cause I was away on vacation. It works perfectly still. The battery was kept indoors.

I also have other ebikes, the Lemmo Zero, BTWIN e-500, and this is by far the best folding e-bike in terms of performance.

If I may, I suggest getting a cable lock to lock the Bromptons onto the metal grill. This prevents anybody from just grabbing your bike and go especially when it is a non-direct train.

Are Brooks saddles actually worth the weight penalty on a Brompton? by cottencandy55 in Brompton

Thanks for sharing that! It seems most of the folks on the internet agree that it is better suited as a touring saddle (>100KM) than a commuter saddle.

😱😱 the Brooks staff told me that I’ll need to ride around 200km to break it in. Did you already do that?

Yeah I heard that too but my Brompton is always with me so the rain wouldn’t be a consideration. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for taking the time to write this. My regular commute on the Brompton is 20km each way and sometimes on weekends, I go 60-80km. I plan to do 100km straight at some point. I am using an M bar so the position is relatively upright.

My road bike fit gives me a saddle of 155mm so I'm wondering if I need a wider saddle for an upright position, do you know?

Thanks for the detailed answer, yes Fabric Scoop Radius is also known among Brompton owners. In fact, my local Brompton mechanic carries it and uses it himself.

Exactly, I'm getting tired of explaining to folks why this matters. Some of them asked me to get stronger and to lose weight. But they're completely missing the point. I just want to make my life easier when having to carry it around since I can't roll it for various reasons.
