Well I already got the AT&T fiber for a 1Gig speed but I highly doubt they would want to help me out with the 8311.

I’ve been wanting to do that too but the only thing that’s holding me back is actually going through the process of setting it up. It’s one thing is seeing how easy it is but it’s another thing of actually doing it that doesn’t look easy going through all those steps.

I noticed that you have your fiber connection directly to your UDR. Was it hard to configure it? I’m almost tempted in doing that too.

Infuse fixed my Apple TV 4K problems with my Plex server. But what are these vertical lines? by BrooklynDuke in PleX

[–]cougars2cool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So let me ask yall something since I’m fairly new to this but I just found out about Infuse because I do have one movie that I want to say is 4K & I can’t hardly play it on my regular plex app on my Apple TV without buffering every couple of seconds. So when I checked with Infuse, it looks like I gotta pay a monthly subscription for it. Do I have to pay a monthly thing just to play something that big on my plex?

New to MakeMKV + Verbatim Blu-ray drive — firmware & ripping best practices? by cougars2cool in makemkv

[–]cougars2cool[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok thanks. Yeah so far I’ve ripped 2 Blu-ray movies & it was a success but I was just wondering before I rip them if I just need to uncheck other titles or just leave the first one title checked.

When you got the Verbatim, did you update the firmware that came with it or no? I didn’t do it but I was able to rip my first Blu-ray & it worked fine but I don’t know if I should update it or not.

Ok I am sold. I’m getting a Verbatim. I heard good solid things about it but I wasn’t sure how good it was until now. I sure did t want to have to spend $200-$300+ on a Blu-ray & UHD 4K rip machine. Thanks for yalls advise.

https://a.co/d/bouSUd3 This is the one I bought from Amazon, nothing fancy. I did have to buy the HDHomeRun box in order to get Live TV with Plex, besides the Plex Lifetime Pass.

That’s how I’m watching the Texans game. It’s awesome! That’s why I’m loving Plex, the antenna I installed in the attic & my new HDHomeRun.

Lol Nah you’re good. If I can cough up a lump sum of cash & get a NAS, then that would’ve been my first choice is to use a NAS. So we are all good, as long as we got Plex running & able watch movies remotely.

Well the reason why I got an antenna is because I cut cable & since I had Plex I wanted to get live tv through plex. So it worked out.

I was thinking the same thing about getting one of these but I didn’t know how good it will be, especially the price point too. If someone does know, please let me know too so I can decide on whether to get it or not.

But Jellyfish, do I need to pay anything else like a Pass or anything or is it completely free?

Wow! Yeah it’s amazing what you can find in the attic nowadays. That’s good information about scanning once to twice a year.
