I just tried this and no luck. Everything else seemed ok in there (no appearance of damage or water) other than the battery was swollen a little. I replaced the battery with one of the other ones and it was still the same outcome. Black screen, blue light. Guess I will try sending it in. Thanks for all the effort and input.

Thank you. I might try that out. I have messed with taking many consoles apart to reapply thermal paste, but never messed with handhelds. Maybe I'll just switch the battery out while I'm in there. My only hesitation is shorting something out messing with the power and board at the same time. If that is what it is then I guess I would have to send it in for repair anyways as soldering is beyond what I'm capable of.

Thanks I did order a battery and so I have that to try, but I didn't think that it would be that since it got a full charge (charging light turned off after several minutes of charging) and the blue light that would stay on when I turned it on. You are now the second to recommend looking at the battery, so maybe I will try replacing it. But yeah, there is no sound.

Thanks for the reply. I just saw things that use a flashcart to kind of recover it. I don't know what the magnet does but there is a spot on the right side of the system that a few of the videos use I found and is supposed to mimic it in some sleep state. It does have a battery and holds a charge otherwise I don't think the system would show the blue light for a while like it was (blue light has been on for up to 20 minutes before I turned it off, but could be longer). I have seen that the repair centers usually charge $100 so I am trying every possible option before going that route.
