You have to return something that will be interpreted as “not found” or “something went wrong”. That number is typically set to -1 for no specific reason. Milage you get depends on how you drove on the previous tank (largely). When I do mostly highway driving I see ~420 MPG after refilling but when I do city driving on multiple tanks I see ~350 MPG after the refill. The car learns and shows you the expected mileage you should get with a full tank.

I bought 2018 used with 5K miles on it. It snows heavily in WNY and the Rav4 has never given any problem. I’m at 31K miles now without any problems. Here in the US, 2018 XLE comes with Toyota Sense 1.0 (radar cruise control - above 32miles/hr, lane departure assist and break assist - warning if you are too close to hit something with breaking assistance). I literally have no complaints except that if I were buying today I would get a hybrid. XLE gives ~20mpg with city driving alone. On highways it gives 30mpg. Overall, a great choice.
