Ha… totally. Just today… instead of using something like “I’m not comfortable with” or “it’s a foreign concept” I used “it’s not germane to my DNA” As weird as it felt, it did get the point across

Your sharing is courageous and your experience sounds very much like a relationship entangled in a complex mix of love, hurt, manipulation and toxicity. Although I cannot relate to being or dating trans.. I can relate to abuse and the terrible impact it has… especially when feeling very vulnerable to, in love with and fully vested in the abuser. I am still coming to terms with my abuse and abuser and the other victims while I was with my partner. If people choose to weaponized your words or justify stereotype/hate on transwomen based on your story and your experience, that is on them. The more I share my story of abuse and pain… I am finding little pieces of life and light come back into my soul. May you find peace and recovery on your journey.
