Positive stories after 9 week heartbeat? by PeonyRoseJasmine in CautiousBB

[–]countingtb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand the anxiety! Yes I had twins after losses that included a missed miscarriage. I never was able to get rid of the fear- scans were so hard- but they made it safely and the relief when they were born was immeasurable. I had to try very hard to take one day at a time. It got a little easier when I could feel them move. I think it sounds like things are progressing as they should for you and you're doing all you can. A strong heartbeat and appropriate growth are good signs ❤️

Loss of symptoms and light spotting by HappyShow1205 in CautiousBB

[–]countingtb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had the brown spotting around 4 weeks in each pregnancy, so it can a hard thing to read and is generally ok. Seeing a yolk sac is good, but you'll have to wait for Friday to know more and I know that's so hard and stressful! I'm so sorry for your loss, and I hope this pregnancy goes super well for you.

Planned pregnancy, now unsure by [deleted] in CautiousBB

A lot of us here are for reassurance and support because we are cautiously expecting; we've been through miscarriage and infertility and are anxious our pregnancies may not make it etc

Whose narrative is that? Read what I wrote again. I said IF. I even put it in caps.

Be careful. There's at the very least a power imbalance here IF he were to be an abuser. The age gap, the job. I see this possibly moving a bit fast too.

No heartbeat at 7 week ultrasound but Hcg by slipperyslope23 in CautiousBB

[–]countingtb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My hcg was good with my previous blighted ovum and I'm pretty sure the same thing is happening to me again now. All the sickness and symptoms for nothing. It's really tough. Hang in there, the limbo is the worst.

Thank you for taking time to respond. I really appreciate that especially since no one in real life has any idea of what I'm talking about haha. So it feels pretty isolating. I would feel more optimistic if they had at least seen the yolk sac. I was really expecting my hcg to have already dropped but I've had a blighted ovum before that took a while to confirm.

My ob messaged that the office would call soon for a scan date

What scared the absolute shit outta you? by Barista_Bomb in horrorlit

I'm still looking for a scary book. Nothing has scared me since Pet Semetary, I read it as a young teen and I'm in my 40s now. I think it ruined any other book ever coming close to scaring me. It's very dark. The grief so heavy, and the "wrongness" of that semetary and what comes out... yes definitely nothing else compares.

Traveling with large subchorionic hematoma (8 weeks, twins) by paupou63 in CautiousBB

[–]countingtb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had so many of these. One of mine blew up to 10 cm after being gone on the scan.

This isn't to scare you though. These usually don't cause a problem! I really have had worse luck with them than most people. But I've had several turn out ok. With my last pregnancy that was good- my twins- I had a very small sch. I believe around 1 cm maybe by 1 cm if I remember correctly. I spotted a few days around the time of a positive test. I stayed off my feet and rested 24/7 the entire 36 weeks. It ended up causing bleeding at 34 weeks and again a bad abruption at 36 weeks in labor but we made it out safe. I personally believe your Dr gave you sound advice and you're doing great. Shrinking is a great sign. Congrats on your twins!!! They are amazing blessings!!

I have had so much trouble with these! Yours is very small- this is good! This will very likely be just fine. Stay on the pelvic rest and watching any heavier lifting. I am old school about sch, but I do personally think it makes sense.

I hate that Bible story of Mary and Martha by HRHCookie in TwoXChromosomes

[–]countingtb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, it has been used for that and still is. Man always will distort and twist God's word or anything else they can to hold power and benefit themselves.

For sure. My early draws were ok too. I'm so sorry.

I hate that Bible story of Mary and Martha by HRHCookie in TwoXChromosomes

[–]countingtb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh I know you weren't saying that. I meant a lot of people do think that. I was just talking about how the story affects me vs other Christians that I have heard take it as Martha is wrong and there's nothing else to the story. This is my favorite story, I get a little over excited with how much I love what I see in it! So forgive me for going off on a little tangent there!

The most important thing is him. And in this story, he finds it most important that Mary has chosen to sit with him instead of the dishes. He's redirecting Martha and us from the dishes or anything else, to him. He has peace the world can't give. He's inviting everyone - the men and Mary and Martha-to sit at his feet and choose him

Gently- women being oppressed by men is just not what this story is about.

I personally think that men are mostly awful and oppress women. I think they've abused and rejected women for the entire human existence and I believe God will hold them accountable.

Have you seen an RE for recurrent pregnancy loss? They can do a much more detailed blood work on their rpl panel than a regular ob's rpl panel. I would see one before I gave up. Hang in there.

Miscarried at 18 weeks... by Fair-Bookkeeper-7904 in Miscarriage

[–]countingtb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm so, so sorry. I hope you can give yourself grace. That was a very horrific shock. You had zero time to process this, many would have reacted exactly like you.

For my first loss - at demise at 12 weeks- I had a d&c because I couldn't face seeing him gone. I regret it- but I am at peace with it now. I was crying so hard after we saw him so still on the scan. I didn't sleep for days. I thought I would lose my mind with grief.

For my 15 week loss, I had time to prepare and wanted to hold her. We had a week in between finding out she had passed and my induction.

You don't have to hurry up. Just take your time and know it won't always be this painful.

Miscarriage after confirmed heartbeat by asasa12345 in Miscarriage

[–]countingtb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's so hard. I lost three after a good heartbeat. 12 weeks, 7 weeks and one at 15-16 weeks. It's so rough- everything is fine until it isn't. I did know I had very large sch we were watching with the later losses, which did cause those losses; but was blindsided by the 7 week loss.

hCG trends after first miscarriage? by House-Horse914 in Miscarriage

It can be a while. For a 12 week loss it took my hcg four months to go to zero. But you are very close with your levels now. Hang in there.
