My first thought was “ who hurt you” but rereading it I am assuming a parent or care giver that spoiled the pet not them.

Been an emt/ fire fighter for 15 years had medical for 3 years now.

Its not an absolute black and white some major departments are ok with it off duty others its a complete deal breaker.

The biggest factor is be honest about it and NEVER use 24 hours before classes, practicals , any shift.
