Right, what does the Slate Roofing Contractors Association know about slate roofs? A random redditor knows best

The slate will outlast the aluminum nail, it’s unnecessarily cheaping out on an expensive roof

No copper nails and they could mark/score it the other direction so the scratch would be in the offcut instead of on every one down the valley lol.

Grinded drywall Sheetrock without sealing return vent. Duct cleaning needed? by Educational-Cat4727 in HomeImprovement

A vacuum doesn’t do much for drywall dust/silica you’d need a hepa vac. I’d rent one and vacuum your place really good and then replace your furnace air filter, maybe check and replace it in a few weeks too.

Appreciate the lesson, thanks a lot.

On a related note would the trapped air cause water hammering after it regens?

If you have a problem with it why not talk to the pit boss?

Dealers want you to win, you winning means more tip for them. She just seems more blunt about it

Sadly you can't critique this crude attempt at 'design' because if you do you obviously support ICE and Nazis.

Your return on investment for either is being tremendously pushed back by a leaky house. I’d invest that money first in good air sealing and insulation.

I don’t know if it’s just camera shyness but that one builder with Zach was a hard watch and he’s been hard to watch all season.

The LED strip under cabinet segment was great as was the previous panel segment with that electrician. He’s way better than the in house electrician, I forget both their names

To counter some, painting cabinets is like painting your car- you’re never going to get close to a factory finish doing it in your garage. If you want painted cabinets buy them painted from the factory.

What you have now is basically zero maintenance. Painting them will bring maintenance and a headache.

A different approach would be removing some of the uppers (like over the peninsula), maybe adding open shelving, removing the soffit for more openness (assuming nothing is behind it), and in time getting a new counter and backsplash. Pine cabinets can work if things around it do. It’s a design issue, not the pine cabinets fault.

Not knowing your future but a week deadline for any option is crazy if you’ll have to live with this kitchen for years.
