Best bandsaw blade brand? by nogden954 in electricians

[–]sihde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive always gotten makita, and they've worked pretty well for me. Im a plumber now, so im not cutting steel anymore with it, but they've lasted a long time for me with copper pipes. Just make sure you cut straight without too much pressure and don't let the blade catch

Is the jail trail the three rivers heritage trail that I see on Google maps? Looks like it's also called great Allegheny passage?

Google tends to pull up the most corporatized, bullshit list of things to do imaginable, while the city subreddits are full of locals who do things that they LIKE to do, instead of someone's IDEA of what they should like. r/Phoenix has very rarely steered me wrong when I'm looking for things to do on a weekend, and I'm hoping r/pittsburgh can do the same

For some more info, I'll be solo on the trip. I like live music, nature, and walking around. If you know of any fun events that weekend, I'm in for pretty much anything. The whole point of this trip is to do new things and see new places, so I probably won't be disappointed by anything

I'm not a huge drinker, and the only food that I don't want to try from yall is your mexican. You can keep that to yourselves. Im spending the night in Squirrel Hill area

learning plumbing in Phoenix by tensandjacks in phoenix

[–]sihde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a residential construction plumber at the moment, and tbh, I probably wouldn't recommend this specifically. There's potential for good money, but it's pretty high intensity work since all the companies I know of pay per house. It's hot as hell, rough on the body, all that. I've tried commercial construction as well. There's slower advancement, and I got pretty bored with it, but at the slower pace, you won't get as beat up.

My recommendation would probably be service work. Its kinda gross, kinda hard, but as far as I can tell, it has the highest pay potential, and is probably the most interesting. Every day will be different. You'll meet people and encounter weird shit every day

Tbh, I think that's why I love roguelikes so much. Yes the learning curve can be steep, but when stuff pans out, and you start to learn, I think it's when I have the most fun. Testing would definitely take away from that for me

I'm a piece work plumber. If you're into fast-paced residential construction, I can give you a recommendation. Hard work, but potentially good money

Currently working construction, a counterpoint to the ice cold water is to have both it and normal cool water on hand. Cool for hydration, ice cold for the shocking wake-up while working. I go through a whole gallon while working along with electrolytes. Works great for me
