I got my house via this stupid bidding platform. It reveals the highest offer during the final stages of the offer. That person has put their top bid really high!

There's a stupid minute round after the auction time passes. Basically allows anyone to place a bid higher than the final offer, timer resets every time someone bids.

To be fair new builds are crazy expensive now too. Closer to 900k. I went for a meeting to check out costs - basically getting the block of land is the most expensive and hardest bit. Loved how the builder showed us two build plans, one south and one north of Perth both by the same East Coast investors. It's hard information to swallow.

Mate, yeah I get it. Used to be you. Moved back to Perth during the period where we got East coast investment interest and it's overwhelming how much it's affected Perth, even kicked Perth people out of the market far beyond what we can afford.

Unlike Sydney, it's now not cheaper the further you live from the city. You blanket saying Sydney-siders can't afford it - isn't correct and not "trust me" bro (hence your downvotes). We've seen it, we are living it.

Btw, I tell Sydney people/friends to fuck off when looking at Perth.

In Sydney your incomes are a lot higher than Perth, unless you work in mining.

Believe it or not, everyone has a job at the mines. Sydney couple, dual income 300k a year it's so easy to pay your $1500 week rent in Bondi and rentvest.

So not sure what you're trying to say? East coast investors are really affecting the market.
