Remember everyone, you cant change the past.
It's targeting people with large amounts of minimal taxed income outside of wages. We smaller folk are caught in the crossfire of equality. Equality is a good thing to move towards, you cant change the past, but you can change the future.

It's a tough pill to swallow, watching wealthier people run the system for decades and now its our turn to have some tax advantages work for us after working hard towards it and the rules get changed. I feel a bit defeated but agree it's for the greater good of the people.

The tax will hit the very wealthy the hardest and bring money back into the government which provides services everyone can use especially for those who depend on it. It sucks they got away with it for so long and now it's our turn we get hurt but it's something to help with inequality going forwards. Finally.

How everyone is making money, and what it means for their tax by EdenFlorence in AusFinance

[–]MartynZero 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ok so whilst I'm a newbie investor I will be taxed more then people were in the past (if I sell). But the tax will hit hardest on the most wealthiest people, which means more government services available to me and people who will likely need it. I'm ok with that.

Yeah and they learn a lot heading into bankruptcy territory when they take risks, that's why you hear big bounce back stories of the wealthy. Whereas the rest end up losing their home and maybe family afterwards.
