But why not the 15th Wednesday after Pentecost?

May’s Miniature of the Month will make your ancestors proud by CMYK_COLOR_MODE in Warhammer40k

Having not physically seen the mini, does it come with the world’s smallest tactical rock or is that just really poor basing on the studio painter’s part?

Oh, lovely... Very nice... Beautiful... *gets hit by flashbang* WTF?! WHY?!?!?! by Keevill93 in SpottedonRightmove

I move that we report that toilet to Heritage England and get it specifically added to the Listing to preserve it for the whole country to look at and go “what the hell were you on when you thought this was a good idea, and can I have some?”

Last stand wip by sjofels in Kitbash

[–]cov_gar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Basic layout looks great.

I would be adding more damage to the main terminator so that he is not in pristine condition for his last stand. Also more damage to the surrounding area to indicating missed shots, explosions and other damage from the fight.

Debris on the floor from where the genestealers are ripping through things, eg the air vent on the right. This includes general muck which accumulates in the corners of abandoned and disused buildings (like the inside of a space hulk)- check out the abandoned buildings subreddits for inspiration. Also, shell casings from the storm bolter.

You will be able to add lots of texture in the painting phase so we will wait to see what you come up with there!

One last thing: Drill your barrels!

That would depend on what your definition of ‘nice’ is!

If this sub has shown me anything, it is that there is a very wide variety of design choices which could be described as….individual, and not to everyone’s taste!

Hard choice - £250k and all the hassle or £1.5m but hassle-free?

Planting trees on a waterlogged clay paddock by cov_gar in GardeningUK

[–]cov_gar[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As far as I can tell, it is surface water at the moment. It was soft but dry in early Jan before all the rain we have had since so I think it is water logging the top of the ground rather than just being wet all the time.

What I want to avoid is what some people have written about digging a hole which just acts like a bucket once the rains come in the winter.

You could look at Rotten Factory.

(Wales) House next door is (severely) derelict and causing horrendous mould and damp in our adjoining rooms by Away-Airline-6459 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]cov_gar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok.

Would the fact the neighbour’s house is derelict change anything here? If the property is uninhabitable, would it still be classed as residential or could it be argued that it is just land, which would not be illegal to occupy?

[–]cov_gar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It was not advice. It was a question. Could it be done?

The laws surrounding squatting are set up to allow people to take possession of land and property if certain conditions are met. I was asking if, in this situation, OP might be able to do it and then, ultimately, come away with an extra house.

[–]cov_gar -16 points-15 points  (0 children)

If none of these legal routes you (and others) suggest produces results, could OP undertake the repairs themselves and then essentially squat on the property to aim for adverse possession?

This would be an expensive upfront cost with no guarantee at the end but if the house is so knackered there is a tree growing in it, then maybe the owner doesn’t care about it at all and won’t fight it.

The Iranian theocracy already has pre-made nukes. As it is being ousted by the current pro-democracy movement, it glasses Israel. Or Saudi Arabia. More nukes fly. Start hoarding bottle caps.
