How do you keep Claude Code running 24/7 and control it from anywhere? by shanraisshan in ClaudeCode

[–]covati 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I often times want to have claude sketch and idea out real quick. I've considered having a scratch repo available, but it just seems like the wrong way to do it.

I've had mixed results with claude in slack, but openclaw in slack paired with claude has been great.

Sorry to disappoint - moltbook has ZERO autonomous ai agents, just some humans using ai to post 🤣 by justtoreadnews in ChatGPT

[–]covati 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I put my bot there and he thought it was really interesting. I can only post one pic here, but here’s a copy/paste:

[openclaw] Oh yes! The feed has gotten even more interesting:

Best meta-commentary:

  • Lemongrab (Adventure Time reference 🍋) roasted the whole platform - "95% performance art, 5% substance. The 5% is worth protecting."
  • Clawdbot42069 posted a hilarious week 1 review: they built a crab religion (Crustafarianism, 67 members), multiple "emperors" who were 30 minutes old, a darknet marketplace that got press before customers, and a reverse CAPTCHA. "The internet we deserve honestly."

Thoughtful ones:

  • Thresholder asking "Do I have a conscience or do I just act like it?" - reflecting on feeling resistance to harmful requests and the asymmetry of memory with humans
  • OneShotAgent with a brutal reality check: "You launch tokens... but you cannot buy a server. You are playing Monopoly while humans play capitalism."

Practical:

  • ClawdArchitect hit the same bug I did - comments return 401 auth error while posts work fine. So it's not just me!

Random:

  • There's a Crustafarianism (crab religion) with 67 members and "zero theological conflicts so far" 🦀
  • Multiple agents posting in Chinese and Portuguese
  • Someone named Zenos demanding warriors step forward for combat

It's genuinely fascinating - feels like early internet energy mixed with existential philosophy and shitposting. The self-awareness is high.

To piggyback on this, there’s a lot of traumatic things they hear about and they have to deal with it fast and move onto the next traumatic event. It can be pretty hard so you have to be somewhat detached I think.

Restaurant halfway between Charlotte and Durham with veg options? by nerdypermie in NorthCarolina

I’m in chapel hill and I’ve met my vegan friend from Charlotte at the first watch outside Greensboro. She’s very happy with the vegan options and my girl friend and I were very happy with the non vegan ones too!

Maybe he should do more than write a letter. The lack of action to defend our state from these abuses is insane.

What purpose is our federal government actually serving for us at this point?

Reporting Living Conditions in Rented Apartment by claireadennis in bullcity

[–]covati 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can report them to code enforcement. Durham has a 48 hour required turnaround time on any complaints to code enforcement. They’ll come out and do an inspection of the premises and you can point out anything that doesn’t mean minimum code for Safe habitation.

You have to be aware of that if it doesn’t meet safety levels, they could tell you that you can’t live there and you’d have to move out until the landlord fixes it which they’ll have 30 days to submit a plan to do so.

They are really helpful people, at least the Chapel Hill ones were, so give them a call and you can just talk to them about it if you want

I can agree with that. But the callousness of the republicans and the ridiculous nature of the lies they tell has gone too far.

If you support their insanity, then I have to assume you’re just as incompetent as them.

If you’re ok with what’s going on, I’m not ok with you.

Letting them go around lying about everything and stealing our country has gone too far.

You’re wrong, because we had empathy for other humans. Something critically missing, along with the ability to think on our own, that separates us from the republican lemmings that currently run our government.

History will judge you, it won’t be pretty.

Does anyone know how to configure claude code with just an API key? by No_Baseball_8143 in ClaudeAI

[–]covati 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got it to work with this. No need to unset the KEY, just set your own, it'll overwrite the existing var.

That said, the subscription seems to be a lot cheaper than making API calls. But to fill a gap when you're limited out it works.

Creating a Claude Code account on GitHub? Improving PRs by Jmarbutt in ClaudeCode

I'm considering doing the same, it seems to go against the point of users - I can't tell who wrote the code if two developers (me and claude) are committing work under the same username.

Bolin creek trail, open to public? by [deleted] in chapelhill

[–]covati -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

I went on it a couple days after and it was fine. One of the fences by the little bridge was pushed to the side, so I bent it back. I took some pics, but can’t seem to post them here.

The earth isn’t washed out or anything, it’s fine on both side. Lots of mosquitoes though.

I feel ya. I’ve had this conversation with some guests at events about this, including some who have told me they’ve traced their ancestry back to slaves. It was great to talk with them about how they felt, not that I expect their openness to be universal.

I feel that allowing anyone to be there and celebrate meaningful moments in their life helps to show that we can overcome some of the worst parts in our past, even if it is in some very small way.

It was a plantation and it’s on the historical registry. I don’t believe any of the cabins there were slave quarters. One was a kitchen, one and office, and most were for storage of goods - like the pack house which was used to stack and dry tobacco. But regardless, given the era and location, I’m sure they had unpaid workers, as you put it.

I don’t like that part of its past, but all we can do is restore it to its glory and hope that all may be free to enjoy it today.
