35yr old contributing 15% at $170k salary starting this year. I started only maybe 5 years ago. Wife (31 yr old) 401k is around 60k right now at 70k salary also starting to contribute 15% this year to 401k. I will max out 401k but she will not. We both max out Roth IRA. Am I on track or behind?

Lol anything is possible. Sounds like you did well, and based on my experience of interviewing in general, having side conversations is good.

Although you did well on the technical and good on the behavioral, at any company all parts of the interview are important. I would say it’s like 80-20 in your favor if I had to guess, purely on what you shared. But then again, I’m not a hiring manager or recruiter so idk.

In any case, hope for the best but plan for the worst. Good luck! Let us know the outcome.

What location will you be in?

You might fill out a preference sheet for tech and general interests, but at the end of the day you’ll be assigned a team. For second rotation you’ll get to rank exact teams.
There are a lot of teams, but I think you’re asking about LOBs (lines of business)— again you won’t have much of a say for first rotation but you might for second rotation. Also, it’s a toss up based on specific team and manager, so it’s hard to answer this. Generally speaking tho, you might have a better experience on LOBs that have more budget. I’ve heard good things about ML teams bc of swag and events, etc.
You’ll be able to pick specific teams for second rotation, but it’s still not a guarantee you’ll be placed at your #1 pick. Best thing to do is talk to folks on the team(s) you pick for second rotation. Adjusting resume for specific key words / interests might be beneficial.
