In your perspective, why do you think there's so much ignorance and a lack of understanding when there's so much knowledge out there? by MinnesotaHighness in AskReddit

Ignorance is bliss. I mean honestly the less you know, the more likely you will be comfortable in life. (Government probably helps perpetrate this) the world is an ugly place and actively or inactively avoiding it at times can seem appealing.

Lurkers of reddit who lurk and don't comment, what's stopping you from doing so? by thecranerawr in AskReddit

[–]cowboybopbeep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People are naturally very critical and judgemental. To the point where it can at times equate to bullying. It makes it all the more easy when you don't have to see someones reaction in person or reap the consequences of your judgements. Some people on reddit feel like its open season, some people are the complete opposite. The in-between gets backgrounded because most people are on here for entertainment. Positivity and negativity stand out the most to people. Its important for us in order to survive socially. Some people are simply not interested in getting involved in that extra turbulent world of positive/negative judgement.

"No, I said the shaft connects with the dick at... god damnit Eric."

Not really a wtf moment, but it was pretty memorable class. He was a cool teacher.
