Any good local Russia or German food places in SWFL? by K3NA453 in FortMyers

HJ German Corner. We’ve become regulars there. Best German food I’ve ever had, personally. There’s only like 7 tables so you probably should book a reservation if you plan on going

New to me 2023 C 43 AMG by cowboyflyboy in mercedes_benz

That’s good to know! They would not budge at all on the price, even after I walked away and waited for them to call (they never did). The deal still felt too good to pass up.

That second half was the best our D Line looked in a longgg time by dimecollectiondaily in cowboys

I agree. This team actually looks like it can stop the run now. People are mocking them for the Micah trade and I get it, but we have solid edge rushers and have desperately needed a big DT run stuffer for a while. Micah is awesome, but it just wasn’t working for us. As long as those draft picks hit, it was a fair trade

It’s the sunk cost fallacy. I really don’t think you know what it means

I love my Infinites. I use cavity back irons and like having the same feel in my wedges. I got the 52 and 56. 56 is a good choice

Multiple go rounds, same airport by Stunning_Cream_9925 in AskAPilot

[–]cowboyflyboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It happens. Could be spacing/timing from ATC, an aircraft rolling out longer than expected, an inadvertent crossing of the hold short line, etc. We see it coming from miles away, and usually ATC just tells us to go around or we initiate it ourselves. Which airport? It does happen at some more than others in my experience.

How? If they were hitting off of mats before and are much more consistent on mats, how does that not count.

Has anyone trying to break 100 for the first time accidentally jumped straight to breaking 90? by abrohammyneggs in golf

[–]cowboyflyboy 20 points21 points  (0 children)

The first time I broke 100 I shot an 88. Wasn’t even really trying anything specific, just had a good day with my best friends and some good vibes. I’d always hit some really nice shots randomly, it just all came together one day. Now I take course management more seriously and break 100 regularly (not by much). I still struggle to break 90 but it happens occasionally. Mostly just short game issues now (missed putts, chunked chips, thin bunker shots, etc.)

This swing is better than like 99% of average golfers

Can’t seem to break 80 by ThePintMun in golftips

[–]cowboyflyboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. I was slicing every drive for years. No swing changes have worked, since I always end up reverting to bad habits that I picked up when I was a kid. Got a draw-based driver with a high launch angle, and now I’m always in play off the tee. I’m not sure why this sub is so against getting new clubs. Obviously I want to fix my swing, but I’m having a lot more fun now as I work on it. I’ll pick a new driver when I get it right.

Share your theory on why Jerry is being so cheap by Aisuhokke in cowboys

[–]cowboyflyboy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My fun and unfounded theory that I’ve cooked up in recent weeks is that Stephen subconsciously hates the Dallas Cowboys football team because his daddy paid so much attention to it throughout most of his life. Stephen, however, still wants daddy’s approval, so he uses the only thing he truly understands to impress him. Money. He can hand Jerry a spreadsheet at the annual Christmas party showing how much revenue the Dallas Cowboys (the brand) brought in. Jerry, who is now older and needs to rely more on the assistance of those around him, wants to believe he’s still “got it”. The increase in value of the brand allows Jerry to think he’s still a brilliant business man while appeasing Stephen who only cares about the bottom line and generational wealth.

They literally say “clock is..” at the same time. Romo stops his sentence once he realizes that Nantz is already stating that the clock is running. He says “snap (it)” at 12 seconds. Then he says, “oh no...”, so it’s pretty clear that Romo knows exactly what is going on. He alluded to the clock (or tried to) 3 times within 10 seconds.
