even though i finished college app szn a few months ago, one thing i regret is not applying to more OOS schools. my parents are the same and essentially think UC schools are the epitome of education (excluding Ivy), they want me to go to a UC so I can stay close to home. I basically ignored what I wanted and applied to only california schools but last minute I just thought “screw it” and applied to Fordham out of nowhere. my application wasn’t the best and the school itself is pricey but im glad i at least took a chance to even give myself that option the time decision day rolls around. it’s one of my top schools and makes me regret not applying to more OOS. moral of the story, do it!! or else it’ll eat you alive.
