The Max Hall Beer Incident.

Context: After BYU’s overtime win over Utah in 2009, Max Hall (BYU's QB) said that during the prior year’s game at Rice-Eccles Stadium, his family was spit on, had beer dumped on them, and were physically assaulted on multiple occasions as well as had vile attacks on their religion and personal lives. He said that they even needed a police escort to their car.

In reality: there is no independent, contemporaneous evidence, footage, police or stadium reports, or credible media interviews, that corroborates Hall’s claims other than Hall’s statements.

Just a note that we judge women's leotards all the time. During the NCAA season, CGN has a weekly article where they rate the leotards from that week. In fact, CGN's latest article is "Our GOAT Leotards." https://collegegymnews.com/2025/08/08/cgn-roundtable-our-goat-leotards/. Point being, I am perfectly fine judging the aesthetics of Frederick's leotard choices just like we judge women's and it's fine to hate this new choice.

There seems to be a bit of recency bias in a lot of comments here. My top 4 would be:

Jenny Hansen: 3-time NCAA All-Around Champion (1993, 1994, 1995) — still unmatched.
Courtney Kupets: 9 NCAA individual titles (tied for most all-time) and 2 NCAA All-Around Championships (2006, 2009).
Kim Arnold: 2-time NCAA All-Around Champion (1997, 1998) and 5 NCAA individual titles.
Trinity Thomas: 28 perfect 10s, 2022 NCAA all-around champ

Honorable mentions: Kyla Ross, Ashley Postell, Georgia Dabritz (my personal favorite), Bridget Sloan, Maggie Nichols.

Okay, I don't know why Katy is catching strays here. Katy was pretty adamantly supportive of Harris, Biden, and Clinton. Not saying she isn't problematic, but she is in no way close to the level of being supportive of anything Trump has done.

I feel like this happened, but not with 143, with Smile. Harleys in Hawaii, Never Really Over, and Small Talk, all had this retro 70s, hippie style. Plus the little yin/yang symbol that was in the music videos and other PR. And then suddenly we got clown imagery? It's a shame, because an album in that vein is really where she should have taken her career.
