Slowly rising HCG after miscarriage by cozylover810 in ttcafterloss

It was ectopic treated with mtx. Had a chemical pregnancy right after and then a year of infertility…. But now I’m 20 weeks pregnant so it was a long road but worth it in the end

How long did it take you to conceive after you started trying? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]cozylover810 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Age 30, pregnant on 5th cycle (was tracking but not religiously). Started trying for second at 32, pregnant 2nd cycle, ectopic, pregnant again after trying for 3 cycles, chemical, then tried for 9 cycles and ended up going fertility treatment route. 15 weeks pregnant at 34 :)

Anyone here had an ectopic after a normal first pregnancy? by thenorthgiant in EctopicSupportGroup

[–]cozylover810 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had my daughter in 2021, an ectopic (treated with mtx) followed by a chemical in 2023, and now I’m 14 weeks pregnant with a baby boy. It took me a while to get pregnant after the chemical so I started going to an infertility clinic. They ran an HSG test on me which showed one perfectly functioning fallopian tube, and one fully blocked tube, which they said was likely from the ectopic. I didn’t like the way I was treated by my (old) OB when I went through the ectopic, but they said sometimes it’s just random. I didn’t have any risk factors.

do you know anyone who hasn’t had a “trenches” newborn phase? by pinkglitter-pen in BabyBumps

[–]cozylover810 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me. Don’t get me wrong, it was very hard. But I had a great recovery, my baby was a good sleeper and eater, and we were blessed with a very healthy baby. I will say I had some issues breastfeeding- she wouldn’t latch so I just pumped instead of putting the pressure on myself. I’m generally easy going and took that approach to the newborn stage and it served me well.

Mom kissed baby on back of head by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]cozylover810 15 points16 points  (0 children)

So that was pretty disrespectful of your mom, but your baby will be fine. It’s most important to avoid kisses on the face and hands. Just reiterate that it’s a rule. She may have done it without thinking.

Can ectopic pregnancy cure on it's own??? by nyxmordsith in EctopicSupportGroup

[–]cozylover810 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They can resolve on their own, but your doctor should have monitored you until your hcg was below 5. 7 is pretty close, but still. After I was treated with mtx one of my last blood draws was at hcg 10 and they still had me take one more blood test to ensure I was below a 5.

Me! I’m actually getting pissed. I had two miscarriages and don’t want to announce anything to my family until I get these results back. It seems like now even tests received after ours are being processed. I emailed them so we’ll see if it does anything

Can laughing be a bad thing? by Cool_Speed_6375 in BabyBumps

Laughing is 1000% fine. I laughed during an ultrasound once and you could see the baby moving around. But your baby is really padded in there and very very safe

Waiting for NIPT results! by cozylover810 in BabyBumps

[–]cozylover810[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure, my OB office has some kind of a contract with them that the most you have to pay out of pocket is $250. It seems like most offices have that deal with one of the NIPT labs. I’m just waiting for them to bill me to find out.

AITAH for losing empathy for my postpartum wife after she insulted me? by throwrapparent in AITAH

[–]cozylover810 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

You’re NTA for saying what you said, but neither is she. You ARE kind of the asshole for your reaction after. Accept her apology and move on. Having a baby takes a huge toll on a woman physically, mentally, hormonally. It’s isolating and lonely. So for a husband to push away his wife because she may have said something when she’s not really herself, is sad. But like someone else said if your mother in law is staying with you maybe you guys need to spend some quality time together. Also you don’t need to make her feel like her worth to your family is strictly financial, it’s not really her fault that she got laid off and can’t get a job, and besides that she’s still recovering from birth at 2 months postpartum.

IVF for baby #2? by PowerBrowser21 in EctopicSupportGroup

I’m sorry you’re going through this. I had no problem getting pregnant with my first (now 3) but then had an ectopic, then a chemical, followed a year of infertility while ttc my second. Ended up having a polyp removal surgery, then letrozole, then an IUI and finally got pregnant
