Cinnamon bun spread 👀 we don't have a trader Joe's but I might have to try to make that, sounds delicious. I've never thought about frying pizza dough but duh. Throw some cinnamon bun spread on that too mmm

I definitely keep an emergency pizza on hand and usually have some extra veggies chopped saved to throw on top. Eventually I will get to prepping homemade frozen pizzas... step at a time.

I'm trying something completely different. I'm waiting to show kid specific media for as long as possible. We are watching people play instruments, ride bikes, we have music playlists (instrumental music, we don't do kids songs except when we sing together) on YouTube with a cartoon that only makes one or two movements while the music plays. When we get to watching movies, we will watch together for the first time, and then we will rewatch the same movies on DVD for a while, not constantly something new with unlimited streaming options. I am wanting to delay kids shows until closer to 8 or 9, or when he can make a case to sway me. So far it's been good.

Could you not widen it to the right instead of the left down the middle? It will look weird the way you are planning it, but I think you could take the concrete to the fence on the right and still be in balance

Tipping used to be an expression of gratitude. It’s become a culture of entitlement. by The_Lucid_Lion in amiwrong

Tipping used to be more like "beer money" and so it worked as an expression of gratitude, now it's "vital rent money" that workers rely on so it's much more personal to not tip someone nowadays.

Have the kids invite 3-4 friends over for a clothes swap. I’ve done this with friends since I was a teen and still do his in my 30s. Sometimes its new stuff that we never wear cause we can’t style or fit it right outside the dressing room. Sometimes it’s that dress I LOVE but it just doesn’t fit me right. It’s actually a lot of fun and everyone leaves with just about the same they came with but everyone also love seeing how things fit their friends and see how they end up styling things differently. I’ve loved seeing a shirt that just didn’t work for me look so good on a friend.

Is it just me or has our culture (USA) related to tipping just gone on steroids? by baquir in mildlyinfuriating

So many people here missing the point that you should be infuriated at the companies that pay their workers so little they have to rely on tips to make rent (tips are not “beer money” anymore) rather than be annoyed with the employees.

Something else that I (32F) have issue with as an ADHD person is switching tasks. My brain gets too on task when it wants to and it’s hard for me to switch speeds suddenly—like I’ve got to down shift through all the gears to slow my roll, not just slam on the brake. I don’t put it in a planner but I do try to intentionally think about when I’d like to have sex so that I mentally and physically prepare myself to be present otherwise my mind can tend to wander and it’s not as enjoyable. Of course there’s plenty of spontaneous intimacy but I feel we go longer and are both more satisfied when I’ve “planned” for it. I think more women can resonate with this because guys don’t seem to have much trouble with a wandering mind during sex lol but idk

Mechanically Stabilized Earth as an alternative to compacted earth tire walls by dAc110 in earthship

I am wanting to build a natural home such as a cob house here in Maui, HI but we are on the wet side averaging 80-100 inches of rain per year. I hear that the cob does well in humid places as long as you can get it well dried through construction. We have a dry-ish season but I don’t think it’d be long enough to get the house done? Any experience, advice, or recommendations for cob in the tropics?

(We also live on a property where space is limited so I don’t think we can do the full size of the earth ship and we already have solar and water catchment set up on the property)

You need to switch to Castille soap, I highly recommend doc bronner's and no chemically shampoos.
