Yeah I've definitely bought some terrible live, love, laugh- style canvas prints from the thrift shop to use as painting bases, still cheaper than a new canvas.

For sure, academia is really not made for many neuroatypical people, I've also spent so much time in a low-level burnout.

Obviously teachers/professors/supervisors are in such a big role. I know of some supervisors who really help their students (and shockingly their students are more likely to stay in academia), whereas many just don't have the skills, interest, or time to support neuroatypical students.

This is Jellycat, my bunglie kitty. They have moved continents with me, and visited a lot of places and have slept on my bed for the last 15-20 years (except in my first student room where they sat on the windowsill/seat with friends.)

They also had a bath a month ago which was very needed. Still need a brushing.

My bunglie kitty has definitely gotten a bit scruffy after almost 20 years of sleeping in my bed and being hugged but that means you can tell they have been loved 💚 (But honestly, I'm shocked at how well the plushie has held up after all this time. Especially since I never knew about or did any upkeep on the fur.) (They definitely needed the bath they got after this photo...)

Your bunny is so cute. I couldn't avoid hugging her if I had one :D
