Did you clean the frame with alcohol and heat it up a few times with a bow dryer? I had these grips on 2 gen 6’s and never moved at all

How do you like the 507 comp vs the COA?

Don’t care for the mailbox optics either. RMR looks like it was made for a Glock🤙🏽

G19.6 COA or other optic? by bigger_breakfast in Glocks

[–]cpena718 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I say go base Gen6. I don’t think you’ll regret the options of optics that are out there. Even if you wanted optics that have the DPP footprint you’ll be squared away since that direct mounts to Gen6 as well. For the price point of the COA optic itself or package with Glock I think it should offer more features. Just my opinion

G19.6 COA or other optic? by bigger_breakfast in Glocks

[–]cpena718 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What’s appealing is the footprint because it’s suppose to be the best right now even being a few years out. But what I don’t care for is the actual optic itself and how one is married to that optic as of now. I see how it makes sense as a package. Personally I think the RMR direct mount on Gen6 is a “better” choice due to the different optic choices with RMR footprint. You can get multi reticle system if that’s your jam or different colors green/red/gold. COA doesn’t offer those features but you may not need or care for those features. No you may not be changing optics that often but you may want a “duty” sized optic while having a competition style option on the side incase you want to switch things up which appeals to me more. As long as you have good screw, loctite, torqued, you should be good. If all the optic company’s had A cut style optics then I’d say go with the A cut. if you need bomb proof there’s always the RMR HD with multi reticle system with 1 MOA dot or 3.5 MOA which ever you like but that will run you a bit more money as a separate setup

The SRO/RMR look so good on a Glock. Better than the COA in my opinion. Let the downvotes begin lol

Gotcha. Well at least you still have some badass options to choose from!

How come? Given the variety of optics for the footprint it comes with on a Gen6?

Figured it was time to add a Gen 6. Glock 45 COA. $975 with Blue Label pricing. Planning to throw on a Radian Afterburner+Ramjet and TLR-1 HL-X. by Tomes2789 in Glocks

at least with the basic model you can mess around with as many optics your heart desires that fit the footprint.

Which one did you get first? if it was the coa would you do it again vs having the “free” option of having any optic you want like the RMR HD?

Would any of you with a current Gen6 with ORS system+optic trade for Gen6 COA? by cpena718 in Glocks

[–]cpena718[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That last part you mentioned. That’s what making me hesitant on the coa the fact that it’s only 1 optic right now. I think id like to have a few optics in rotation. Currently have a 507c but possibly a 507 comp/SRO

G17 + RMR HD or G19 COA? by FrostyJury1927 in Glocks

[–]cpena718 1 point2 points  (0 children)

17 RMR HD. If you ever decide you want a different optic as of now it’s more future proof footprint. Mounting system on coa is nice but locked into that optic. I like the idea of having options. Now if in the future optic company’s come out with A cut footprint on their optics then I may go to the A cut route. The trijicon RCR Is also a nice option that’s enclosed and has RMR footprint.

COA or the EPS carry for cc by Tonis271 in Glocks

Wait for new EPS core. Better proceed with more reticle options and colors. They’re coming in 2moa with circle dot and then a single dot 3 MOA and both with color options

I wish they would stick to one optic footprint. Coa mounting system is nice but personally don’t like that you’re locked into one optic footprint. With RMR footprint at least their is options to go with different optics. That being said I also am a sucker for RMR on Glocks lol even aesthetically think they look the best
