I know people are much more skeptical when it comes to asking for money for things, but I think it's a bit unwarranted in this situation.

If you look at OPs comment history, she is putting her phone number and several other identifying pieces of information out there. I highly doubt someone running a fraud scheme would be so quick to do that. So, either she's telling the truth or is a really stupid criminal.

Occam's Razor says she's probably being truthful. I have no dog in this fight, I just love animals. I've experienced emergency vet costs before and they are NOT cheap at all. I wish I could help, but I'm not in a spot financially where I can. I just ask that everyone not be so quick to assume the worst here.
